Great for rebuilding carport
Used these to replace the ones holding my carport together. We moved the carport from the front to back yard and had to dis-assemble it. Made life easier marking where each panel and roof arch came from, so-reassembly was much easier.Pro -These screws were 1-2 sizes larger than what was there, so I re-used existing holes.Came with new drill bit, which is good, because I didn’t have one.Con -They do not self tap into anything other than the sheet metal.Hope this helps.

Screwed hardware cloth to lower 4â of hoop house
Worked perfectly. I bought a magnetic bit and these screws were ideal for the application. Screwed hardware cloth to lower 4â of hoop house so when sides are rolled up critters canât get in. Washers were just the right size to catch the hardware cloth and hold it snug.

Excellent roofing screws for my new home
I have been building a home “from the ground up” and used a method of creating a gothic arch set of “spines” for the main structure of the house. Never did like plain “stick” houses as the gothic arch spines are curved and can span a larger space without support beams. Anyway, the arches were wrapped in Tyvek as most homes are and then I began “skinning” the house with corrugated metal roofing material. These are the best screws for attaching the metal roofing to the frame of the house. They hold well and seal the hole made with the included rubber gasket. Perfect for my project.

They Do their Job
I like that these are white (or off white). The length is great, because it doesn’t go through the strapping. They are very sharp, which helps go through the metal roofing. I like the large hex head size too, I find it stays more stable in the nut driver than the narrower sizes. There were couple things I didn’t like though, firstly, the broken box (sure they included foam corners in the cardboard box it ships out in, but it’s pretty brittle plastic – not ideal). Secondly, the white color got onto the rubber washer and turned a dark rusty color. It wasn’t much of an issue for my little project here, but it may be for your application, keep that in mind. They should have applied the finish then installed the rubber washer once the finish was cured. I still give a fairly high rating here though, because, ultimately, these are robust screws that do the job they are intended to do.

Perfect for metal roofing.
I have several rental units next to each other that are getting new metal roofs put on. Hopefully this will be the last roof work needed to be done on these.These screws (500 of them) work perfectly. Amading how fast they screw in. They have a Hi/Low thread pattern that take a very solid bite into the metal and the wood under it. Easy to use and they come with 2 driver bits for convienence. There is a gasket under the heads of the screws which will prevent leaks. This package of screws was well packed and came in a plastic bucket with a tight lid and handle.Fortunately, the metal I’m using is white so these are a perfect match. I did not see any other colors available from the vendor.Putting a metal roof on? These are probably something you need. I consider these to be a good value.
