A plunge Circular saw and guide rail is a more portable option over a Table saw for smooth, accurate and splinter-free cuts in plywood and other large wood panels. Makita offers the 18V X2 (36V) LXT cordless plunge Circular saw, and Makita has an expanding range of blades so you get the right accessory for the job. The 6-1/2” 56T carbide-tipped plunge saw blade (B-57342) is ideal for cutting wood, MDF and laminate materials. Key features include the thin-kerf design and fluorine coating to reduce Pitch build-up – and both features are engineered for less drag and up to 140% more cuts per battery charge over standard Makita corded plunge saw blades (b-07353). the blade also features high-grade carbide tips for durability, and laser cut slots for quieter cutting and less vibration. Each blade is fully hardened and expertly hand-tensioned from steel saw plates for true cuts.

Customers say

Customers find the saw blade cuts super hardwood like butter and is razor sharp, with accurate cuts and a thin kerf. The durability receives mixed feedback – while it can rip 2-inch thick poplar with ease, some report issues with tear out during crosscutting plywood. The blade works well and customers consider it a great value for money, though opinions on value are mixed.

Too thin for Kreg ACS riving knife.
I used this on the Kreg track saw. It has a very nice smooth cut and worked, however, the cut is too thin for the Kreg riving knife, when cutting the riving knife would catch when it enters the wood and stop the blade. (Took me a while to figure out what I was getting hung up on). It worked when cutting very thin pieces were the riving knife could bend the wood away, and also when used in plunge mode.

Way better than the standard Makita track saw blade
This blade cuts very nicely. It’s the third blade we’ve bought for our Makita track saw that gets almost daily use and I noticed right away that it was faster than the blade Makita includes with the saw. Should’ve got it instead of the standard replacement blade the first time.I’m sure Makita put some thought into the tooth design, because they look a bit different than other blades, but I think it cuts quicker mostly due to it being much thinner. Less wood is being removed, so the saw is having to do less work, so it cuts quicker. However, something to keep in mind… Unless you use this with a brand new track saw rail, the thinner kerf means your cut line isn’t exactly were the rubber edge is anymore. I might try to add a washer to fix this, but honestly it’s not a big deal.

Perhaps not the greatest value, but a great blade
These blades aren’t inexpensive, but they do perform very well as replacements for OEM tracksaw blades in my Makita. I’m going to also test it in a DeWalt track saw to see how well it fits and may modify this review accordingly to report back. So far, so good – great product. Price could be better, but blades aren’t a place where we try to save money.

    Cuts Great
This cuts much better than the factory blade on my Makita track saw. I was impressed with the saw when I got it but after several months the factory blade became dull and I swapped it out with this one. This new blade is much better than the brand new blade that came on my saw and cuts much easier.

Cuts like a hot knife through butter
I got this for the corded makita track saw and the cut quality and speed at which it can make a beautiful glue ready cut is astounding. It’s not really a blade that can be sharpened later though. I went through a few pocket hole screws with it and that does, believe it or not, dull it pretty quickly unfortunately, but I just bought a couple more. This blade is a great all arounder, just make sure you’re not gonna accidentally cut through fasteners if you want to maximize the life of the blade

UNDISCOVERED: The Long-Lasting 5 3/8’s Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blade
Why this cordless 18 V circular saw that brandishes these amazing 56T carbide tipped metal cutting blades never caught-on, I’ll never know why. When it comes to fabricating rack for commercial Pipeor cutting pipe or threaded rod there’s no better tool on the market, light, compact, and with these blades, honestly, I went three years without having to buy one.I only give these blades a 4 instead of a 5, however, because they are blades that are not for a beginner; you must always remember to wear Eye protection, and you must remember what these blades are designed to cut: strut, rod, and pipe, and they do that extremely well and accurate. They are not Precise like a bandsaw but more quick and to the point and with nice hard, sharp edges. Pipefitting plumbers and electrician’s are what these blades and its tool are meant for.
