This is a great light
Light worked great right out of the box. Simple to install, took all of about 15 minutes to remove original light and install this one. I recommend to anyone whom wants a entry light with little to no upkeep. Just turn it on and forget about it. Finally for LED lights is nice and bright.

These things are bright and look great
I have 5 of these on the front of my garage. I wanted lights made of aluminum since I live near saltwater and the old steel lights rusted. These fit the bill nicely. They look great, they are bright and they only light up at night. I also like the open bottom, since it makes them much easier to clean than the style I had with a removable top. Bugs still get inside that type and die there making a mess inside. Now they just fall out. I’ll probably replace the lights on my house with these next.

Light is Better Than Expected But We’ll See How It Works
Directions are typical for items like this — not well written at all (a common failing), though they were semi-intelligible. I had bought another Maxxima light earlier from Costco which was good but failed after two years and COSTCO will get it back (component failure). Got this one because it was cheap and I regarded it as a temporary solution until the one I want is available for swap from Costco (one that gives more light). Surprisingly, though, this back door light delivers more light than I had expected (seems like significantly more than 40W equivalence). Wasn’t difficult to install but they should supply weather stripping for it to keep water from getting into the wiring…I have bought some and will do that myself. (An annoying failing). There is no “motion detection” and I expected none, I have no clue why Amazon even listed that. I gave it a 4 star rating because of the mediocre directions and my prior experience with another Maxxima light noted here. Hopefully this one will last longer. Would I buy Maxxima again? I just did. We’ll see if it was a good decision.

The light of my life!
I just had my house completely resided, replaced all exterior doors, all the windows and all exterior lighting. One light on each of the two corners on the front of the house, and same in the back.These lights are VERY handsome on the house’s facelift and, because I also had Ring doorbells and cameras installed, these lights allow amazing visibility outside during the times of darkness. My patio is about 25 feet long, and the Ring picked up a mouse coming onto the patio, just as clear as if it was daytime.We’ve had some tomfoolery at our house for about a year but, since these lights were installed in March, not one incident has occurred. We believe it’s because the lighting around the house is measurably better, and the vandals know they can now be seen.We leave them switched on 24/7 and rely on the photo sensor to turn on the light at dusk. So, they stay on all night. Sure, it’s going to reduce their âshelf life,â but they are so easily installed, and so reasonably priced, I’m okay with having to replace them every few years.Highly recommend these lights.

These are absolutely beautiful and so easy! once theyâre mounted, youâre done. Iâve had them since September of last year and although I really think theyâre pretty and really like them on my front porch, I donât like how bright they are. I have a glass front door and two glass panels, one on each side. When these turn on at night and the whole house is dark, it lights up my living room where the door is. Theyâre not quite that âambienceâ I was looking for on the front porch of my log home. These are super bright and I wouldâve wanted a more warm dim light. I wonât take away stars for that because thatâs my own personal preference but these are great. The photo attached is taken at 7:25 in the morning Eastern time and they are still on because I have such a big awning over top so they havenât seen the sun yet and itâs plenty bright out!

This light is great!The quality seems quite nice. Real glass nicely painted metal parts and even rubber washers to prevent the nut from scratching the paint when tightening it to the wall.The light output is bright – it seems much more than the 40W they say.It is slightly brighter than the 60W equivalent light it replaced.Time will tell how long the dedicated LED light source will last.
