Great Smart Thermostat That Wonât Break the Bank
The meross Smart Thermostat has been a great upgrade for my home. Installation was quick and painless, and I really appreciated how easily it connected to Apple HomeKit and Matter. The app is simple to use, scheduling works reliably, and remote access has already come in handy a few times. Itâs a budget-friendly option that doesnât feel cheap, solid performance, clean design, and full smart home compatibility. Definitely recommend it if you want smart control without the high price tag. My house is full of meross smart devices so, I’m overall very happy with this product. M~

Great integration with Apple HomeKit.
I have used Meross smart thermostat for about 3 weeks. It very easy to use and works great with Apple HomeKit.The installation was very easy. My HVAC system had all the required wires including the c-wire, so replacing the old thermostat with Merros was straightforward. After connecting all the wires I used the Meross app to complete the setup and added the thermostat to Apple Home app. I only use the Home app to control the thermostat as it integrates well with my other Home devices and allows to group them together when creating automations and scenes. And the Siri control works very well too – I have yet to experience a Siri request that would not do what I asked for.The unit itself looks good on the wall, I used the back plate to mount the thermostat and it seamlessly blends the unit with the wall. I like the large temperature display, you can see it from anywhere in the room even when it’s dimmed. This is another nice option you can configure – a few seconds after the last button touch the display dims a little (you can see the dimmed display on the first picture). Touching any buttons, or sending a command from the phone or through Siri, brings the display to full brightness (second picture).Meross app has the Usage Dashboard, which could be very helpful to estimate the cost of electricity used for cooling and heating. However to get the cost estimate you need to enter the cooling and heating cost per hour and I don’t know how to calculate this data for my HVAC system.One feature I wish was available in the Home app and Siri is to turn on/off the fan only. You can do that using a button on the thermostat, but I control it mostly through Siri. I contacted Merross support, which was very responsive, and they told me that fan only control is not supported in the Matter protocol, that’s why it cannot be added to the Home app.Overall I’m very happy with the functionality and automation this thermostat provides. This is the first smart thermostat I used and I can’t imagine going back to an old fashioned non-smart thermostat.

Exceptionally high quality smart thermostat
This thermostat offers exceptional quality and convenience when installed properly and connected to Apple HomeKit. I’ve never installed a thermostat before but was able to do this with ease; customer support helped me without delay. C-Wire is an important aspect, since that is required for your unit to work, so you will want to ensure your setup has it. If not, you will need to get a Power Extender Kit, which I ultimately did, and found both products to be worth it.I chose to try the smart thermostat after having great luck with Meross smart plugs. Overall the brand quality is great.The features that work well for this unit include advanced calibration settings, a dedicated app, scheduling, and comfort levels that can be customized according to the user. Connectivity to WiFi was a breeze and I highly recommend this product looking for a smart home upgrade.

Works great, the only problem was the temperature was off out of box by -2 c. Good thing you can calibrate it.

Got this during Prime week. Pulled everything out of the box and tried to read directions. Iâm not super tech savvy so they didnât really make a lot of sense. HOWEVER- Meross has a set up video. However I actually found on YouTube someone swapping out the same old thermostat I had for the new Meross one. Wasnât perfect but wasnât terribly hard either. Wish the space for wires was larger for those with larger hands. We used needle nosed tweezers to get the wires in place. Also Make sure to use the anchor for the screws . I didnât but will have to go back and add. Itâs got a bit of wiggle to it but to be VERY CLEAR this was operator error, not the product. Set up was really really easy on the Meross app. I have several Meross products and am well pleased with this one . You can use via the Meross app or like me link it to Alexa – again Iâm not tech savvy and it was very very easy – it detected itâs self and Alexa asked if I wanted it linked when I opened the app. I had zero issues with connecting it via WiFi even though itâs probably time for my router to be replaced as it can be intermittent. Iâve had no issue with the thermostat. Donât be alarmed when you are first set up- we did in the middle of July in the south – and first thing the Heat turns on . I was panicking trying to figure out what I did wrong but after a minute the a/c started up. I guess it was just testing everything ? But it works great! I really dont reccomend the printed instructions – instead watch a video- it makes it much easier .Bottom line – itâs a really good value . The price was good especially for the quality. Easy set up – just watch a video on YouTube and in the app it fairly well gets its self started with minimal operator effort. I give it five stars .This would also be a great gift for elderly or not so tech savvy people simply due to ease of use. It also had interesting features I did not expect – like a humidity measure.
