Wow! Just…WOW!
Yeah, this thing looked like, well, not much. But, what the hay? Thought I’d give it a look see. This thing is amazing. I use it for automotive sheet metal, so nothing heavy duty. But it cuts 20 ga. steel like scissors with paper. I use it to cut curves and odd shapes. Just lean it like you would a bike, it’ll go where you want it. Super simple to use. Works like a champ.

Game changer!
Works as advertised and will save me SO much time and effort cutting my metal hardware cloth for my chicken coops! I wish Iâd have discovered it years ago! (Plus the note included was wonderful!)

Limited uses
Great idea, however for me this has limited use because it has a rated max thickness of 21 gage metal. To put it in perspective, this thickness is normally handled by manual tin snips. The last aluminum diamond plate I received was 12 gage and it would have been nice to use this tool to fit the diamond plate in place. When used to cut its rated thickness, this tool works quite well and very little effort is required.

NOT CONSUMER READY â Needs Significant RE-Working to be usable
NOT CONSUMER READY â Needs Significant RE-Working to be usableFalse advertising in the description. This tool IS NOT A SHEET METAL NIBBLER. This tool uses two revolving wheels acting in a scissors, or tin snips, type âshearing actionâ to cut the sheet metal. A ânibblerâ cuts sheet metal by ânibblingâ or chewing and spitting out the tiny removed ânibblesâ.I gave this drill powered SHEET METAL SHEAR the lowest possible 1 Star Rating because I could not get it to fit onto my Flex Brand cordless drill or my Craftsman cordless drill. The attachment holding spring was too short to be able to wrap around the drill grip to hold the spar. The spring was just too short to reach the attachment point on the spar. Apparently the manufacturer never bothered to field test this tool with different drills. The simple fix would be to included different lengths of holding springs.I was able to test the sheet metal shears by using semi-permanent Zip Ties to secure the spar around the handle. These drill powered SHEET METAL SHEARS work reasonably well on flat sheet metal albeit with quite a bit of distortion of the cut edge. One distorted edge is worse than the other so you must plan your cuts according to where you want the bad edge to end up.

Cuts quickly and smoothly
It cut through duct venting very quickly. The cut is much smoother than my hand cuts with tin snips.I didn’t realize it would pull along so quickly. I’m glad I tried it on a scrap. It took me a minute to get the spring around my drill handle right and then I was very careful at the start because I was afraid it would come off and spin. But it stayed in place perfectly! No problem.I have only used it a few times so I can’t comment on durability.
