A well built mini pc at a great price
Great cooling, none of the fundamental flaws found in many mini pcâs. Runs cool and quiet with amazing performance. Only wish I had ordered max RAM and maybe a bigger ssd. I work on many customer computers and this one stands out as one of the best.

Fast, reliable and very compact
This is my second mini PC. The first was Asus, which suffered from overheating. This Minisforum is by far better in that respect. Idle temp is 35C, and full strain is 80C max, and it is quiet even then.Processor is very powerful, and so is the GPU, even though I do not use it for gaming. It has the latest connections, like USB4.. All in all, I am happy with it

Phenomenal desktop replacement, but not enough peripheral ports. Buggy windows.
One star off for lack of peripherals and windows memory issues. I’m writing this review on this computer right now! Replaced my bulky loud desktop work pc. Wish it had more peripherals. Like everyone thinks you need usb and wifi everything but that’s not the case for mulitmonitor work. Very powerful and performs crazy good for the money. Super quiet. LIke zero noise.

Check reddit. Nobody has a working machine
Its an intentional scam. Multiple parts are labeled as what they should be but either clearly are not, looks similar but dont work, or require drivers that do not work any more and will not read any updates or drivers other than oem.Thought I had a solution several times and then something just strange would take it out like Linux rebooting to a phantom windows that was deleted and its partition written over then deleted again. Also got an egpu dock “deg1”. The oculink is a different size on the minipc and the dock. One side is a mini-sos input, the other is a displayport. Which both look like an oculink but are absolutely not. $800 worth of non functional stuff that is clearly intentionally not working. If its not Intentional this is the dumbest company there is.

From UM790 Pro barebones, added 96 GB, 6 TB SSD, and everything works great!
Bought the UM790 Pro barebones, added Crucial RAM 96GB Kit (2x48GB) DDR5 5600MT/s, fanxiang S880 4TB NVMe SSD M.2 2280 for Data, and fanxiang S880 2TB NVMe SSD M.2 2280 for Windows 11 and two or three different Linux versions. also bought Maxonar USB C to DisplayPort VESA Certified, 8K 60Hz Type C to DP Cable 6.6FT/2M ($16.99 )Everything just worked. Date of purchase Jan 13, 2024, total Amazon cost with cable was $1,201.88.Just had my 78th birthday, so it took me a long time to go barebones, but I found that someone else used 96 GB ram and 6 TB SSD, so barebones is the only way to get that high performance. Kind of spooky, but the return policy of Amazon makes it all possible. The unit is rock solid, and Costco just had a sale on a 4k monitor (LG 32UN500-W Monitor 32″ UltraFine (3840 x 2160) Display, AMD FreeSync, DCI-P3 90% Color Gamut, HDR10, Built-in Speakers = $250) so I bought that yesterday! Life is good. This is a long way from programming the 6502cpu with 16k of ram and using a tape recorder for storage.

This is a totally awesome computer It is taking me some time in order to get the things right. I have upgraded the memory in the computer as far as the hard drive from one terabyte to eight terabytes. It is super fast loading up and I have absolutely no complaint It is an absolute powerhouse I would never have expected that it would be such an awesome machine. Also it’s a huge space saver and we all need space these days. It was easy to upgrade the NVMe hard drives You just simply have to clone the one that you want and while you do that if you’re going through Windows make sure that you turn off a bit locker and this should give you no trouble to install the new NVMe drive. Of course if you decide to use Linux you won’t have any trouble with this but I would still turn off the BitLocker just in case just to bypass what they may feel is a security issue.

Awesome so far (2 weeks in) works well. No issues yet. Usage has not reached its peak year so canât comment on peak performance. Overall a good mini PC.
