Love this brand of grills
This is the second Monument grill we have purchased in the last six years and we loved them both! Our first one is still going strong after six years! Our neighbors are using it, the only thing that needed replaced was the drip pan and grates. We grilled on it all year long, left it on our front porchâthe porch has a cover but we never covered the grill. After six years, still no rust!I saw the reviews that show rust marks on the stainless surface, I am not sure what the marks are but a little bit of stainless steel cleaner that you use on your appliances takes them right off? The new three burner grill I am reviewing has no problem getting to 600 degrees quickly, cookâs even, and has a large cooking surface! The only thing we gave up going from our four burner to the three was a side burner we never used.My uncle has a name brand grill (the one everybody buys), and I can tell you that this grill cooks more evenly, faster and better then his grillâmy old Monument still cooks better and more evenly than his new grill! Our neighbors are still thanking us for giving them our old grill and they are recommending Monument to their friends!

Good overall
Good overall. As follows:âPROS:⢠Cannot beat it for the price.⢠Cooks excellently.⢠Plenty of power. This thing can get up to 700+ °F in a jiffy, no problem. Good for cooking and also for cleaning by burning off.⢠Burners and innards seem safe, well-designed, and well-QCd, which is a sine qua non.⢠Design is mostly very good.âCONS:⢠Assembly is straightforward ENOUGH, but lower your expectations going in â if you are a typical end-user in a residential environment, plan on taking 2 hours or more to assemble it. If you don’t expect quicker, then you won’t be disappointed. The instruction booklet is a 75-page novel, but at least only the first 25 pages are for English-language users.⢠The amount of cardboard in the packaging is epic and reasonable. (After all, they need to protect the thing adequately in transit, so you don’t return it for damage.) On the other hand, the amount of STYROFOAM in the packaging is gargantuan and probably inexcusable. Plan on filling your ENTIRE recycling bin with cardboard, and plan on filling a GIANT contractor-grade heavy-duty trash bag with broken-up STYROFOAM to send to the landfill, and vacuuming up scores of little staticky styrofoam nuggets. Hopefully the manufacturer will switch to molded paper/cardboard instead, in future. Personally I would pay another 10 or 20 bucks on the product if it could mean eliminating the MOUNTAIN of styrofoam from the packaging. But I guess a lot of other customers are more psychopathic than that, so who knows whether it will change.⢠The top half (the grill proper) is well designed and feels premium. The bottom half (cabinet/stand) is *adequately* designed and feels chintzy â viable, but minimum-viable.⢠The caster wheels are tiny silly indoor-grade units misplaced on an outdoor product. Maybe I will swap them out so I can actually put my grill (an outdoor object) on the grass without them sinking into the ground.⢠The cabinet is backless, which is the stupidest design flaw that I have detected so far; but it might be true that many of the competing products are also backless, I don’t know. A backless cabinet is moronic because a grill is an outdoor object that is going to sit in your backyard at night, and the drippings pan is just sitting there in the wide open for any possums, racoons, skunks, or black bears that might happen to smell it and decide to mess with it. And maybe chew on the rubber propane hose too, while they’re in there anyway. Having little doors on the front of the cabinet is laughably pointless and irrational when the back is wide open. I have some old sheet metal shelving that I’ll be propping against the back with a sandbag, so at least I can TRY to keep the night critters out of the meat-juice-scented cabinet. The cabinet was clearly designed for cheapness and for false-front appearances as judged by indoorsy-only, not-very-bright customers. Oh well. Must keep in mind that if the cabinet was premium then the upfront price of the overall product would easily be 30% higher or more.âOverall I cannot complain, because (1) you get what you pay for in life, (2) the grill seems safe and effective, and (3) the competing products in the same price bracket are probably not better. Go for it.

Sold build quality at an affordable price
This is the first grill weâve owned that did not have a built-in storage cabinet underneath, so it is much easier to move in & out of the garage for grilling. There was some assembly required but the instructions were well written and the assorted hardware was nicely organized in separate sections of the package.Itâs 4 burners bring the grill up to temperature very quickly, and once at temp remain stable. The clear viewing glass is a great feature, allows watching for flareups without lifting the lid and losing heat.

Great product for the $
I live in metro ATL and this is a locally owned company, so buying from your home state and the USA is always a good thing. I typically grill 2-3 nights a week and generally use 1 burner. I can get the grill to 400 degrees on high using 1 burner. I mostly buy grills in the $400 range and am typically replacing parts by years 2 or 3. This product offers more stainless steel than any other grill I’ve owned. The glass window and LED lighting is a nice upgrade for this price point. I read where someone talked about how flimsy the cabinet was, and while it’s not heavy gauge material, it is coated metal and comes with gussets in the corners for bracing, so I have no concerns there. The burners and ignitors are good quality material and thick. There is a ceramic igniter on every gas rail which means easy lighting. Mine cooks evenly however the gas holes don’t extend quite as far forward and back as some other grills I’ve had so these areas will be your not so hot spots. The grill grates are fairly thick and supposed to be non stick. I greased and pre heated mine before use and still get some occasional sticking grilling fish or chicken tenderloins, however olive oil spray eliminates that. Based upon the quality of the parts I’ve seen, this should last awhile.

The Manufaturer show they really care about Quality
Fully Recommend 5 Stars:I considered buying a Weber Spirit II over the last 6mos, but the $500+ price really bothered me. My last grill was a Samâs Members Mark $200 closeout that lasted me the last 6yrs (year round use). I had eliminated a lot of grills from my search, and then I happened upon this Monument Grill. My last grill was a stainless exterior, but I opted for the black powder coat this time.It arrived today, and I put it together in about and hour. The Quality is really amazing. The parts matched up perfectly and securely.Even the way itâs packaged is 5 Star.It fired up on the first try.The burn off is complete and I look forward to grilling this weekend.
