Customers say

Customers find the security camera easy to set up and mount on walls, with a strong magnetic base that sticks well to garage door openers. The camera receives positive feedback for its quality, with one customer noting its sharp 1080p HD video, and customers appreciate the clever magnet mount design. However, connectivity and video quality receive mixed reviews – while some find it connects easily to networks, others report frequent disconnections, and while some praise the picture quality, others find it mediocre. Moreover, the camera’s functionality and value for money are mixed, with some saying it works well while others report it stops working properly, and some consider it worth the price while others find it overpriced. Night vision performance is also mixed, with some impressed while others report it doesn’t work at all.

    Great garage camera
Great camera, works really well and you dont have to subscribe to the myq service – but you lose the ability to record videos – you only get live videos. I have enough cameras throughout the house and outside that record that this is just nice to have to peek into my garage and see if the door is closed or see whats happening while I am away. Works really well, easy to install and the setup process is very fast with the myq app.

    Works Great
I wanted to have a garage camera for security and kids purpose, this fits well to my needs. I really like the magnetic holder approach because that made the life easy to install. My recommendation in the power port is, it could have been a usb-c installed of mini HDMI port, which is mostly outdated today’s tech.It connect with the ring app seamless and I got it connected within minutes. Camera and Sound quality is gratifying and the videos recorded also looks good, I can able to customize many areas like notifications and the angle where the motions needs to be marked and very simple to use. It’s not just for Garage even we can use it as a home camera, and access it from anywhere. So far no issue and no logs and will recommend it.

    Works well and well designed.
I bought this as part of a cheap security system. Positives, affordable, very easy to install. So far, very impressed with the battery life, good image quality, good range of adjustment. Negative, as with all systems like this, it has a substantial lag to it. For what it is, this is as close to real time viewing as you are going to get without putting serious money into a pro-system and the expense of installation. Additional benefit is that you don’t have to mess with SD cards as recording is done on Chamberlain’s servers. For me, 100 bucks a year for video access is affordable. Maybe for other people, not so much.

Easiest way to view inside your garage remotely!
One of the easiest tech to install ever. I already had a wifi garage door opener and MyQ app so it was so easy and quick I thought I skipped a step or two. Had a spare outlet by main garage door opener on ceiling and magnetic mount is super strong (see pics). No worry about camera falling off. Even if you route the plug one way so camera is upside down (like mine), there is a setting to flip the camera view 180 degrees. The green dot and MyQ logo is normally on top. Mine in picture is on bottom so had to reverse image. The sensitivity is adjustable but even on a low setting (lower 25%) it can see people and dogs walking on the sidewalk at end of the 30 ft driveway so I modified the sensing area to get less notifications. This worked so well I purchased another camera for the 3rd bay and now can see 75% of my 3 car garage. The automatic nightime setting can see our cars and objects in the garage with no lights. You can choose to turn off notifications when the garage doors are closed which I finally ended up doing. We still come and go loading and unloading cars with garage doors closed until ready to leave so that is nice.Got the prime day deal with 50% off cameras and video storage plan. Storage plan was $99 per year but got it for $49 per year AND it covers ALL cameras current and future! That’s only $4 per month to store videos for up to 30 days. Even $8 per month for all camera video storage is a good deal I think.I did buy the optional bracket ($9?) thinking the 3rd bay camera would sit back further to get the area between far side of main garage and entire 3rd bay but the drywall covered ceiling beam has metal underneath and camera attached magnetically. Depending on what you want to cover, you may need the bracket to place camera further back to see more. The field of view is not 180 degrees but close enough and the outer edges curve some but the detail of the images and videos are excellent. The length of power cord is very generous and USB C adapter is included.BTW, if you don’t have a wifi garage door opener, you can purchase an add-on for around $50. If you get one compatible with the MyQ app, you can have Amazon deliver to inside your garage for those deliveries you don’t want to sit outside if expensive or when weather is questionable. I don’t like anything electronic to sit on front porch when it is at or below freezing. Also, you can open your garage doors from anywhere in the world such as when service people need to be let in when you’re not there or running late. You can also get a recording of when Amazon delivery person opens door and places item inside for extra peace of mind about deliveries that matter most.

    The definition of insanity!
I built an automotive shop in 2020 with three bay doors, each door has a Liftmaster opener that uses MyQ app and has worked flawlessly for the past four years. Black Friday 2024 rolls around and I buy Three MyQ Garage cameras for a decent price for added security when I’m away. I follow the steps to connect the cameras to the app, cameras pair to everything just fine during the process until I go to name the cameras and enter their location. (Why it needs a location entered is beyond me) and this message on all three cameras pops up; “ we apologize looks like we cannot update the name and location of your camera at this time, but it is in your device list. Please try to update name and location at a later time.” Light on cameras are solid green indicating a successful installation, however the cameras are no where to be found on my device list, so I reset the cameras and try again only to receive the same results. So after many attempts to reach someone from Chamberlain through an AI, I finally get a hold of a human that has me repeat all those processes over and over again (2hrs on the phone) just to get the same results. They even had my delete the app and reinstall it, reset my router, and they even told my I may need a laptop or an iPad to install it properly. All I have is an iPhone. When I try to scan the QR code on the actual camera in the MyQ app, I’m prompted with “we don’t recognize this QR code” At the end of this tech support call, nothing was fixed, tech support tells me they will escalate the issue to a supervisor and I should receive an email within 24-48 business hours, not days! What does that even mean? A full week? It’s been two days and have yet to receive an email with a solution. It just would have been nice to have one app I can connect my entire shop to was my thinking behind buying these cameras. I don’t think the cameras themselves are faulty. I just think the app is not working properly. And then reading other reviews on here it says that you need a five dollar monthly subscription for them to work? I had no idea about that. I can’t even get them to start working to begin with! You would think with everybody that’s paying five dollar monthly subscription that their tech-support and their app would work better! Thanks for nothing Chamberlain!

Excelente.
