Can Nanoleaf Skylight be used with a dimmer switch?
Skylight is not compatible with a traditional dimmer switch. Dimming your Skylight can be done via the Nanoleaf app or through a smart home ecosystem.
Does Skylight require hardwiring, or can it be plugged into an outlet?
Skylight requires hardwiring–basic electrical experience is recommended for installation. If you do not have any experience, please consult a professional.
How many electrical contacts do I need to power my Nanoleaf Skylight?
One. Only the main controller panel will be hard wired using power lines on your ceiling.
How many panels can I connect together?
You can connect up to an additional 99 panels to the main controller panel.
Why is my Nanoleaf Skylight unreachable even when the product is lit up?
When you switch your Skylight on via a manual light switch, it takes about 30 to 90 seconds for it to finish booting up. After this, your Skylight should be reachable via the Nanoleaf App.

A fantastic modern upgrade to any house
I had builders grade lights at my island but it keeps blocking the view of my TV from kitchen. I’ve been following Nanoleaf from a long time and finally found this beauty. I wanted it a modern look with fully loaded matter compatible thread smart home. The lights are customizable to any shape you can think about and add as many as 99 panels to the main unit. For my design I planned a 4 piece and a 9 piece.I would suggest to first plan your design and then go for the place an order.The best part is it can be set to day light or warm white or any color and shade.The schedule assistant is very easy to use.I am planning to integrate it with Aqara presence sensor, so it can be fully automated without any press of a button.

Super bright and impressive!
I’ve bought the lights starter kit at first and now decided to add the extension to my setup. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product because 1) It’s super bright when it’s on max brightness. And it gets even brighter when you add more panels to it 2) It looks super cool on the ceiling. Whenever I have guests at my house they get impressed by my lights 3) It has really cool features like scheduling which is very useful since I’m a person who follows a routine every day, and I’m striving towards making my home smart and automated. 10/10 would recommend!

I bought a total of 32 panels. Overall, I was very happy with my purchase. The panels looks amazing, somewhat easy to install and once you get them all setup and paired, it runs flawlessly. One of the panel was received defective however. The panel turned on fine but when connecting the data cable to the other, the setup just goes offline and no longer respond. The existing panels reconnects and resume normal operation immediately after I disconnect the faulty one. I contacted Nanoleaf for support 3 weeks ago. Since then, I only received 1 reply after 1 weeks to ask me to essentially re-explain the issue I already described when I logged the ticket with the support team. Since then, no reply. Since I spent over 2 hours troubleshooting the issue and i’m confident that the panel is defective, I just worked with Amazon to return the panel and got a replacement. This experience is now making me nervous what will happen if I encounter issues later on since clearly, Nanoleaf does not stand behhind their product. In short, this could easily become a pile of e-waste 6 months down the road if something else goes wrong… Keep that in mind before buying anything from Nanoleaf!
