Can this Nuu Garden heater be used under ceiling? What is the minimum clearance?

We wouldn’t recommend this outdoor pyramid heater using indoor or under any ceiling that due to safety reasons. If it must be used under covered patio, you’d need at least 5ft between the heater top and ceiling for safe use.

Do you have to cover it nightly?

No, this outdoor heater can stay out in the open. If you worry about damage, you can purchase this heater with cover.

What size propane tank does it take?

This patio heater takes a standard 20 lbs tank.

Does the top get hot?

Yes, it does. This top will aggregate most of the heat, simultaneously there will be enough heat around the heater to keep you warm in the yard.

Does the glass tube in the center tend to get smoky/carbon covered? How often does it need to be cleaned?

The glass tube is easy to remove by removing top and cage if you need to clean. Having it covered while not in use with the cover that was included helps keep the dust to a minimum.
