Unobtrusive!
I love this bin! It is so much less obtrusive on the kitchen counter. I really like that the edges of the bag get tucked under the tabs on the lid so there’s no worries about missing the bag when putting items in one-handed.

This is the bin of you are using “bag to earth” bags
I have been looking for a bin that would fit the paper compost bag for a long time. Finally found this and it works perfectly fine. Just the right fit! Very convenient to use.

Great can, lousy bags
The can is great, well constructed. Despite what some other reviewers said, I have no trouble making the little flaps secure the bag. Four stars instead of five because the bags that come with it are terrible. They leak in the can and start producing mold. You can get better compostable bags on Amazon that fit this can.

Does NOT Fit a Normal Sized Grocery Bag – TINY
I returned this item because the picture shows it with what appears to be a normal size paper grocery bag in it. It does NOT fit a normal grocery bag. You would have to purchase special paper bags, slightly larger than a paper lunch bag, in order to fit it. The purpose of ordering was to reuse paper grocery bags for trash, so the size prevented it serving its purpose.

This food waste bin accommodates most brands of paper based food waste bags.It has tabs on all 4 sides to keep the bag open and has a sliding lid to contain odours.Once you learn to place the bag in the bin and slide on the lid so that the tabs are aligned it works well and is not difficult.I would ignore some of the negative reviews based on my experience.

We had one of the semi-circle cans that took up entirely too much space in a small kitchen no matter where we tried to place it. We have a big family, so this thing gets used a lot. No smells, no fruit flies, and it’s SLIM, which saves SO MUCH room. It also doesn’t tip over like the other bucket if you accidentally bump it since it’s not smaller on the bottom than the top. The amount of times I’ve cleaned up coffee grounds when just trying to change the bag ðAlso, our municipality does not allow for the plastic bags in green compost so this actually fits paper bags without having to become a crafty geometric specialist.

The Bag-to-Earth bag doesn’t stay open – the tabs aren’t strong enough to hold it down and there are no tabs on the sides so the bag opening ends up folding in and you need to use both hands in order to hold the bag open or the scraps end up falling in to the sides of the container. It was supposed to make it easier to be able to just dump scraps in without having to hold the bag open. Maybe I’m putting the bag in incorrectly? And, as someone else mentioned, the bag would get soggy and there would be condensation on the inside of the container which gets moldy after a couple of days! The bag never got damp before on its own. I find I’m constantly washing out the container. The lid also tends to slip out when you try to flip it open so it’s a bit fiddly. Overall I was better off just using the bag on its own instead of buying something that only made things worse. Definitely not worth the cost – which is already overpriced to begin with! The one star is for how perfectly the Bag-to-Earth fits in the container.

The product dimensions are perfect and the bag fits nicely. However, our lid is loose and can easily fall off. Plus, the unit we received was a bit dirty and needed to be cleaned.
