for really low doors
I purchased a supposedly low-profile door mat but my door must be still too low, so I returned it. This also claimed to be a low-profile mat in the dimensions that I needed, so this was my replacement. This works perfect – so if the gap under your door is really minimal, this probably will work. It is a nice-looking mat – and quality made. It is fairly easy to vacuum – although some things have a bit harder time getting up (like fine dog hair) – but that could be my junky vacuum cleaner. It has a heavy-duty textured rubber backing – so no skidding or marring of the wood that it is on. The ‘carpeted’ top is tight weave, with almost no pile, which – of course – allows for minimal height. What appears to help the most is that the outside edges are ramped/beveled, in a rubber trim. That allows for the door to slide right over the mat. My only complaint is how long it took to flatten after taking it out of the box. It came rolled and I flipped it many times to soften the rolled ends. I’d say it took almost a week to flatten satisfactorily for use. Had I put heavy objects on the ends that may have quickened the process – but I wasn’t in a hurry.

âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸Got the 29.5″ x 17″ size and while itâs a bit smaller than I pictured, itâs still doing its job like a little champ..It hangs out by my back porch and catches all the random debris our shoes, or dog paws try to sneak inside ðð£ Dirt, leaves, mystery bits…Itâs sturdy, easy to shake off or rinse, and hasnât faded at all even after being stepped on a zillion times. I just wish it were a tiny bit bigger so it could cover more space, but hey, itâs compact and gets the job done.

Looks good, wears well, lays flat, picks up the dirt and moisture off your shoes, doesnât slide around. Never smelled even when brand new. All this time later, still looks new. Would buy it again if I needed it.

Ordered this mat for the garage door entry to our home. Seems to catch and trap the dirt and debris so less gets in other parts of our home. I like that it’s easy to clean. Vacuum is usually sufficient. I’ve not had to throw it in the wash yet. Sometimes even a shake out (outside) will clean it up enough. I like the basic and simple design. It’s been durable in our home. And my husband is carpenter who rides motorcycles, so we can get some dirt coming in. We also recently remodeled our home with lots of foot traffic and all is still good. I really like that it doesn’t curl and lays flatly on the ground (it’s on our tile floor). Haven’t noticed a small and I’m not sure how soft it is. It’s not rough or scratchy. Would recommend!
