Must have if you have long hair
This is just a must item for me and my collection of hair tools. I have very long hair and it takes me a long time to dry it with this brush. I swear it dries so much faster because you can take more hair at a time I now have two of these brushes Because me and my mom were fighting over it.It works great. Itâs very easy to use. The brushes quality is amazing. Iâve had a few of their brushes for years five years plus and they still work. And since the brush is so large and never pulls my hair, which is really very rare for me and I love it.

BEST STYLING BRUSH EVER
I have very fine curly hair and usually styling brushes will pull it and then it gets caught in it especially with these types of bristles from this particular brush. I was very hesitant about purchasing this but it has been a pleasure using it. It doesn’t pull my hair and my hair doesn’t get caught in it. Because it’s ceramic I can also curl my hair as I blow it dry. It does a gradual dry leaving my hair smooth and soft. I can’t recommend this brush enough. I’m going to get another one in a little smaller size so I can do different curls with it.

Iâm very impressed with the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Speed XL Round Brush. Good brush with a serious SAFETY ISSUE!
SAFETY ISSUE!! This is a great brush. It got my thick, kinky, curly, frizz-prone hair sleek and straight. However, there is a serious design flaw in that the end of the barrel at the top of the brush is a large round conductive metal disk. On my first use, I touched the end of the barrel to my neck while drying my hair and got a wicked burn on my neck. With my powerful hairdryer, this brush got super HOT! I was able to greatly reduce the burning potential of the brush by covering the end with moleskin. Please cover the end with moleskin before using this brush with a hairdryer. Particularly if you intend to use it on a child! Iâm hopeful that Olivia Garden will fix this dangerous design flaw soon. In the meantime, I will use it only with moleskin covering the end.

My brush experience with long, wavy, fine hair
My experience with this brush (hair type is a soft wave 2a-2b, ribcage length, currently bleached/dyed, super fine and breaks easily):The bristles of this brush were much coarser/thicker/rougher than I expected, which initially worried me because my hair is prone to breakage. But the bristles work great. My hair doesnât slip out of the brush like it does with regular brushes.This brush is extraordinarily lightweight, which shocked me based on how it looks and the fact that the barrel is ceramic. The barrel is long, so I can dry larger sections at a time. I like the âpickâ style attachment at the end of the brush for cleaner sectioning so that Iâm less likely have the dreaded round brush tangle.The ceramic heats up the longer you use it with a blow dryer, so donât grab it by the barrel after using high heat. Personally, I havenât noticed it get hot enough for touching it to be an issue, but I also wait til my hair is mostly dry to start a blow out. With the ceramic brush and heat, my hair becomes super smooth and shiny. Now people think I recently dyed my hair or had it redone after I blow dry it. Even with all the blow drying hacks in the world, my hair would previously turn out frizzy before using this round brush. (I do use a lots of heat protectant because of the ceramicâs heat conduction).I like this brush enough that I might buy a smaller version to tame my insanely strong cowlick. Using this brush with high heat and gel can banish it for about 90 min, so I bet the smaller brush would grip the baby hairs more effectively and then I could get it to last longer. If you have a normal cowlick though, this brush should be enough to tame it and get the hair going the direction you want.

Excellent brushing! It’s a bit strange that there is a small defect, but it doesn’t affect the comb’s performance. As a former hairdresser, I can say that the most important thing about this kind of comb is that it shouldn’t tangle the hair, and the hair shouldn’t get caught where it connects to the handle. And this comb does an excellent job of that. Plus, the hair doesn’t get magnetized after drying. Absolutely recommend.
