Best for peace of mind
This is perfect to ease your mind and offer reassurance. As a first time mom I felt like I was paranoid of all the horrible things but the sleep sick out that to rest and I still use it to this day. I also love how it tracks sleep and offers sleep window times and an overview of the nights previous sleep. The camera is great to use on your phone or tablet and shows how loud sounds are, temperature, and humidity to show what the room is at to give quality sleep. The only downside is that you do not have a separate monitor for the camera and it has to be connected to wifi.

worth it! buy it!
as a first time mom and a mom full of anxiety when it came to baby sleeping, this helped me so much. It helped me sleep easier knowing my baby was safe and okay and I could hear him. It is expensive but worth it. 10/10 recommend.

Nightmare Sock
My wife insisted on getting this product to monitor our babyâs O2 and heart rate, while sleeping, for peace of mind. Peace of mind has been the complete opposite of what the dream sock has given us. First, you cannot use the Health Notifications, which is the feature that alarms if babyâs O2 falls below 80%, until baby is 1 month old. When finally setting this feature up, it took several attempts restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and unplugging and plugging the base back in for the âactivationâ to complete. While using the dream sock, it would constantly drop connection with the base and the base would alarm, sending a notification to my phone stating âsensor disconnected from base station.â My daughter sleeps 1-2 feet away from the base station. It is set up on the dresser directly next to where she is sleeping. This has been our experience for nearly a week now and each night we have had to unplug the base to get it to stop alarming. What is really frustrating is we will put the sock on while our daughter is getting ready to go down for the night and it will work perfectly. While sheâs wiggling around during a diaper change in another room, while sheâs being rocked to sleep, even when sheâs downstairs before we all go to bed, there are no alarms, but as soon as we lay down to sleep, again DIRECTLY next to the base, it starts alarming. This is easily one of the worst products I have ever used. It flat out does not work for the function for which it is designed. The cost is ridiculous. Upon writing this review, I see the cost has increased a further $100 since we purchased our kit. Seriously, my wife bought an âoff brandâ Apple Watch for $15 that tracks her O2 and heart rate and it works far and above better than the dream sock. The Owlet app looks like it was designed for Windows XP and works just about as well. I havenât even set up the camera yet, but based on my experience with the dream sock and app, I expect it to be a complete nightmare to use and the whole kit will end up being a tremendous waste of money that just sits in the cupboard collecting dust. Unfortunately we are beyond the return window because of the whole âcanât use it for the first month of babyâs lifeâ thing so weâre stuck with the nightmare sock for good. I guess I expected that for a premium cost I would be getting a premium product with a premium user experience. The Owlet Dream Sock and app are the total OPPOSITE of a premium product and premium user experience and I would not recommend this product to anyone.05/27/2024 Update: I set up the camera and it was simple enough. I like that it shows the humidity of the room and gives an indication of the noise level in the room on the app. The picture quality is about as good as the webcam that came for free with my Dadâs HP Pavilion desktop computer in 1999. We wanted a second camera for another area of our house where our daughter naps, but a camera on its own is $129! Thats right, $129 for essentially a 1080p webcam. Do a quick search on Amazon and you can find higher image quality baby monitor cameras, with the same features, for far less than half the price. We are going to go that route for a second camera. My wife insisted on using the dream sock for what has now been a total of 6 weeks and she has finally given up on it. We end up having to unplug it almost every night because it keeps giving the same connectivity error over and over to the point, last night, it woke our baby up. I am not confident that if our baby was having a medical emergency it would even work to alert us because the connectivity issues have been so bad. Not to mention with it going off over and over, night after night, it has been pretty much âcrying wolfâ for 6 weeks. My wife and I are done using this product for good and the sock is now packed away. For how poorly the dream sock has worked, I wonder if our set was possibly defective? But again, we canât return it because we are beyond the return window. I cannot reiterate enough, this is BY FAR the worst product I have ever used and the value for money is truly horrendous. Since the dream sock is nonfunctional, we ended up paying $269 for essentially a 1080p webcam and an app that looks like itâs from before the iPhone was even invented. Also, donât forget, this all functions over 2.4ghz WIFI and not the newer 5ghz WIFI so there is noticeable lag with both the camera and sock. The dream sock has cost my wife and I hours and hours and hours of sleep and has done the complete and total opposite of giving us âpeace of mind.â It belongs with Oscar the Grouch, IN THE TRASH.

Peace of Mind for ParentsâWorth Every Penny!
As a busy parent juggling work and life, the Owlet Dream Duo has been an absolute game-changer for our household. From the moment we set it up, it provided the peace of mind we didnât know we needed. What I Love:â Crystal-Clear Monitoring â The camera quality is excellent, with a sharp night vision mode that lets us check in on our little one without disturbing them. The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate.â Sleep Tracking & Insights â The sleep tracking feature is a huge bonus! It gives us detailed insights into our babyâs sleep patterns, helping us adjust bedtime routines accordingly.â Reliable Sock Sensor â The Dream Sock is the highlight! It gently tracks our babyâs sleep trends, and while it doesnât provide real-time oxygen or heart rate monitoring like the older versions, it still offers valuable data that helps us ensure restful nights. Plus, itâs soft and comfortable, and our baby barely notices it.â Great App Integration â The Owlet app makes everything seamless. I love how I can monitor everything in real time from my phone, whether I’m in the next room or at work.Minor Considerations:ð¹ Pricey, but worth it â Itâs definitely an investment, but the quality and peace of mind are priceless.ð¹ WiFi Dependence â Since it runs on WiFi, any internet hiccup can momentarily disrupt access. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting.Final Verdict:If you’re a parent looking for an extra set of eyes and reassurance, the Owlet Dream Duo is 100% worth it. It helps us rest easier at night knowing we have insights into our babyâs sleep, and I wouldnât trade that for anything!Highly recommend for any new or expecting parents. Five stars! ððððð

In 2025 this product cannot handle mesh wifis’ single SSID. Meaning, if you have let’s say Google Nest Pro, you will not be able to use it as that does not separate 2.4 GHZ from the other bandwiths. Be careful when you buy it, unless you live in a cage with an old-school router.

DO NOT buy this!I usually do not give any kind of reviews – but the experience with this product is bad – really bad!Not only is the device that was sold to me inside the UAE AMAZON Store – now that i have installed the “Owlet app” from the appstore and configured the camera that was part of the bundle inside that app, now when i try to install the SOCK it said first of all – oh you need to choose a different region when setting up the account for this – i thought ok… not nice but be it. So i created another account. This time when i tried to setup the SOCK, pairing went fine, it connected the SOCK to wifi but now the APP said – instead of the Owlet care app – you need to have the Owlet Dream APPI am not sure what the developer has planned here or what kind of ignorant behaviour this is – besides the fact that i also realized they are using Firebase (Google Cloud) meaning all private data from my baby is now all over the internet in googles system :/ – but also in the end this means its just a pile of garbage i can literally throw away. This was supposed to give peace of mind to my wife – so i gifted it her for christmas – 3 months before the baby was due and by that time willing to pay extra for a “quality” vendor seemingly thats not the case.My user experience is a disaster, device not usable, 400 USD garbage.Cannot iterate more : DO NOT BUY THIS (at least in UAE i can tell for sure)

WARNING FOR BUYERS OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA:I wish someone warned me about this, The app doesnât work outside the region. Unless you have android device and download cracked apk to link the app to the device. The same issue as well with the camera. So if youâre an IOS user or your app store is located outside North America then i wouldnât recommend buying this item
