Park Tool SW-7.2 Triple Bicycle Spoke Wrench
The Park Tool SW-7.2 Triple Spoke Wrench is the perfect spoke wrench for the home mechanic, empowering you to true the vast majority of bicycle wheels. The SW-7.2 combines precision fit wrenches for the three most popular spoke nipple sizes into one ergonomically-shaped wrench that fits nicely in the hand. Made in the USA and nickel plated for years of service. FIts the following size spoke nipples:
3.23mm (0.127″) – equivalent to Park Tool SW-0 (black)3.30mm (0.130″) – equivalent to Park Tool SW-1 (green)3.45mm (0.136″) – equivalent to Park Tool SW-2 (red)
ALWAYS TRUE
There are many different sizes and even shapes of spoke nipples, and having the correct wrench is important. Luckily, Park Tool offers a full range of spoke wrenches in virtually every size found on a bike. Here’s how to determine the correct wrench for your bike, and a selection of tools we make to help you stay true:

SIZE MATTERS
Most square nipple sizes are within 1mm of each other, so a wrench that is too big may still seem like it fits. However, nipples are typically made of brass or aluminum. Both are a relatively soft material and can be easily damaged by the wrong sized spoke wrench (or poor-fitting off-brand wrenches).

MEASURE TWICE
The best method to determine the correct spoke wrench size is to use a caliper and measure the nipple across the wrench flats. Don’t worry about the size of the spokes themselves – spoke gauge is not correlated to nipple size.

TOP TWO
For square nipples, there are several size possibilities, but the two most common are nominally 3.2mm (Park Tool SW-0) and 3.5mm (SW-2) when measured across the flats. Use the smallest wrench that fits on the nipple.

Customers say
Customers find this spoke wrench to be a great tool that works well and is easy to use, with three different sizes that cover mainstream spoke sizes. They appreciate its build quality, with one customer noting it turns without wobbly or loose feeling, and consider it perfect for the job. While some customers consider it good value for money, others find it pricey, and there are mixed opinions about its fit, with some reporting it doesn’t work with standard bike spoke nipples.

Good product
Iâve lost a dozen of these over the years. Will always buy another. Great product with tight tolerance so as to not strip your spokes.
Brett C. –
Works well and fits my spokes.
The spokes on my bike were very loose and the wheel was way out of alignment.I have never re-aligned a bicycle wheel before. But the bike repair shop near me didn’t even bother answering their phone, so I was frustrated and ordered this spoke wrench so I could do the job myself.I read some internet articles and watched some videos on how to do spoke alignment. The first time I spent about 1/2 hour and got the wheel reasonably straight. It didn’t wobble from side to side. I tried out the bike and it was fine for about 2 days. Then the wheel started wobbling once again because some spokes had come loose. So I did it again and the same thing happened after a couple of days. Then I found out what I was doing wrong — I was not getting the spokes tight enough! Not even close. So finally I got them all really tight. Months later the wheel is still fine.My advice if you have never done this wheel alignment before is to check a known good wheel and get a feel for how tight the spokes need to be. Otherwise they could come loose just by riding your bike.

Good wrench
A bicycle friend of mine said park tools are kind of the standard. I bought this to fix a used bike we got for the granddaughter. A little YouTube for some knowledge and this tool and it worked well.

If you ride a bike, this tool is for you
Ya gotta bike, you gotta keep the rims true, this will tighten or losen as needed your spokes

Great Tool
I was hesitant to mess with my spokes so I approached the task very gingerly. I watched a YouTube video. The takeaways were 1) It’s NOT righty-tighty, it’s lefty-tighty, and 2) Loosen first (the ones that need loosening), then tighten (likewise), and 3) go easy, like 30 degree increments. The tool itself had a slight burr running along the outside edge of the slots, so I sanded them smooth. But it’s a great tool. My bike with steel wheels didn’t need much adjusting, but my 2 bikes with aluminum wheels benefited a lot.

The tool seems good enough but I hade expected that sharp grades would have been removed after it came out of the mold
GeoffA –
Park Tools are high quality tools and this spoke spanner continues the theme. It was purchased as insurance for a long bike ride where our party will be away from support. I am hoping that we will not have to use it but should one of the party break a spoke or two, we have the right tool for the job. The spanner is well made with no sharp corners to cut you or damage the bag you put it in. Check that this tool will fit the spoke nipples on your bike – this tool covers sizes 0 to 2 inclusive. There is no hole for a safety cord but space to drill one if you think you might loose it or you want to trim off some of the 62g this tool weighs. I used the 18mm flat area as a suitable place to engrave some identification since this tool is more likely to be âborrowedâ because of its looks and simple desirability. A beautifully made tool that, for all the right reasons, I am hoping not to use in anger.
