Fine for the price, Qi charging is hit or miss
I wanted a protective case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max, something that wasn’t expensive just so my phone would survive my trip home from the Apple Store and until I ordered a more permanent case. I decided to try this one. Overall, the case offers a high level of protection. The plateau opening on the back protects its edges and you can set your phone down without the cameras hitting anything. There is a cutout for the camera control, I wish it had a cover over it instead.The USB C cutout is large enough to charge my phone when I use that. I otherwise rely on MagSafe or Qi. MagSafe works just fine, no issues there. Same with Qi2. The case has magnets in it which further help with the grip on MagSafe and Qi2 chargers. I had issues with Qi charging in my car. It has raised Qi chargers in it, which work fine with my iPhone 17 Pro Max not in this case and in Apple’s TechWoven case, just not this one. I kept having to reposition my phone and eventually took it off my car’s Qi charger because I was tired of seeing it pop up with a charging message, go away, then come back, go away. etc.The overall looks of the case are fine. It has black accents and a tinted back, but it lets the color of the phone shine through. I like the orange and black look, it really pops. Durability seems solid. I’ve dropped my phone a couple of times and the case hasn’t shown any marks while fully protecting my phone. The case is slippery, it’s not a textured plastic but rather more like a smoothed over, touch silicone. I ended up dropping my phone for the first time because I sat it on my leg, while wearing jeans, and it slid off.Still not bad for the price, it’s easy to recommend for how inexpensive it is. I think it would go well with either orange or silver, probably not the blue iPhone 17 Pro Max because it would just blend in.

Very functional and high quality case
The case arrived securely packaged with a small foam insert to keep its shape. It looks just like the photos and is as described. My first impression is that it is nice quality and feels sturdy and firm. It fits the phone perfectly and has the correct cutouts where necessary with no sharp or unfinished edges. It is very simple to install. The functional of the phone is not inhibited in any way and I think that it would protect the phone well from small drops and scratches. I’m not sure it would provide an extreme amount of impact protection since the case feels firm like it wouldn’t compress at all to absorb a shock. There is a typo on the inside of the case “magnatic” instead of “magnetic” but you cannot see this text at all when you’re using the case since it’s on the inside. I think overall this is a very functional and high quality case for the money and is an excellent option. My only personal gripe is that it makes the iPhone air feel thicker, but any case will do that.
