Great tongs
Awesome tongs for a beginner getting started. Very sturdy, and holds smaller stock very easily.Take note that these are very short. They have a pair of these on amazon with longer handles, but I’m fine with these. Put gloves on if you have to go deep into the forge with them.

Slight miss
I was linked to this item from a page on beginning blacksmithing. They can do the job for not causing me to burn my hands, but no matter how much pressure I use to hold onto a piece of hot steel, the piece will go flying out of the tong’s grasp. I’ve had one piece of hot steel trim my bangs. They are a good set to get you started or if just mild fittaling, but you will end up making or buying a more reliable pair of tongs after a while.
