Serious equipment for limbing.
Did the job well. Hardest part wasn’t inability to throw the pouch far enough to get over limb. Once over limb it cut cleanly trough. I’ve done two fairly large branches. Just remember you are the horse power and pay attention to your angle of cut, so you don’t get it bound up by the weight of the limb. Definitely worth the price.

Rope not as described.
This looked too be of better quality and better features than the others, at a better price. Upon opening the box it looks pretty good but I will that they made a point that their rope was stitched in a loop, which it is not. The rope came with a crimped metal cap and I’ll need to tie the rope off.Â

Not bad but chain quality is a problem.
While everything seemed okay, the chain was and is extremely tangled to the point of near non-use. There are two teeth that were jammed together and cannot be pulled apart, so getting it to start cutting is difficult. It does okay once it does, but that random kink in the chain makes it rather difficult.

A bit of a workout, but great utility tool
I tried it shortly after it arrived, and I was able to safely remove six dead tree limbs. I wouldn’t have attempted those limbs from a ladder with a saw or chainsaw for fear of falling. Tree services are so expensive, so this functional set gives great value and results for the money. It does require some muscle, and by the last limb, I was tired. But as a senior woman, I would say it worked well.

Good Saw, But Poor Rope
The saw chain is very sharp and cut through a large oak branch very easily. The bag must be weighted with rocks and then the top folded over, which makes it unwieldy and difficult to throw with any accuracy. My big complaint is the rope. This is a tree limb saw, so there will be bark. This rope has a woven exterior (cotton?) that acts like velcro against the bark, so once the bag is thrown over the branch it just stops. I have used other rope saws and usually a lite whipping action will make the weight drop down fairly quickly. This rope saw takes a lot of violent whipping up and down to get the bag to move. And forget repositioning the rope on the limb; the rope will not move sideways at all. Unfortunately, as the rope ages the exterior will fray and develop snags which will only make the problem worse. Plan on replacing the rope if you purchase this saw.

Inaccurate description although the product is effective.
Overall, I think this is an effective product. However, the pictures and description are inaccurate. Similar to the review of another purchaser, the pictures and text indicate this comes with knotted ropes. They are not knotted ropes. There is a crimped metal cap on the ropes. It’s not the worst thing to have to tie your own knots, but it is not a good customer experience when a seller provides pictures and a description that don’t match what you get.
