Helps cover brassy hair color
I use an organic soft brown color on my hair and repeat washing leaches out the blue tones leaving my hair looking brassy. This shampoo helps put back some of the blue hues and helps my hair look and feel softer. Am able to extend days between coloring as this also slightly darkens the grey roots so they aren’t so noticeable. Also use a hair conditioner since colored hair tends to tangle more easily.I shampoo my hair at the beginning of my shower, leaving the shampoo on my hair until the end of my shower. Think this helps the purple color to penetrate the hair.

Kesmedik is always a win!
I have very unfortunate hair, the bad kind of wavy, dry, super frizzy, processed and subjected to 410 degree hot tools regularly. I have the ends of a balayage and get another in a few days, which is why I ordered Kezmedik’s Purple Shampoo. I have a couple other Kezmedik hair products that I love, so I had high expectations going into this. The bottle arrived well packaged with the pump separate and the bottle very well sealed. The pump works perfectly. I wasn’t planning to use it until after I get my hair redone but my bleached blond tips were pretty brassy so I used it today to tone it out a bit. The purple shampoo has the same lovely tea tree scent as their other products and it’s awesome. The shampoo is a very vibrant purple, and I know that makes some people nervous but I often dye my bleached hair purple so I never worry about that. This shampoo lathered so nicely while being a great aromatherapy experience. It rinsed nicely and didn’t leave any residue. Honestly, my hair felt so nice that it almost didn’t need conditioner – but I did condition, because my hair is just so unfortunate. After washing and drying, I noticed the brassiness was toned down, and my hair was not purple. It felt soft, hydrated and looked shiny! This shampoo is already a winner and I can’t wait to put it to use with my hair once it’s done! One of my favorite things about Kesmedik’s products is that they are great quality, and super affordable. $16.95 for a 16 ounce bottle is a great deal. I use about 2 pumps at a time and only wash my hair every 2-3 days so this will last me a while. I definitely recommend!

This is a great US made hair product! It seems weird at first because itâs purple! I have gray/white hair that was starting to look almost yellow! I donât smoke so my barber took said the she would use a whitener on my hair and if she were me use this product! I bought it and itâs great! I look like a million bucks compared to my hair before using it! Itâs great!

Good option to get rid of unwanted yellow tones
This purple shampoo has a thick consistency that lathers up really well, so a little goes a long way. I like that it doesnât stain my hands or shower (or my hair!!) like some other toning shampoos do, and it feels surprisingly gentle on my scalp. The toning effect is on the mild side, but with consistent use you can definitely see it making a difference by cutting down the brassiness and giving blonde highlights a brighter color.It does leave my hair a little dry, so Iâd recommend following up with a leave-in conditioner or a good hydrating mask to keep the softness. The smell is just ok, not super floral or yummy scented and doesnât linger too strongly once your hair is dry. One of the biggest perks is the size of the bottle; itâs large enough to last a long time, especially because I don’t use it every time I wash.Overall, this is a good option if youâre looking for a good purple shampoo without the expensive price tag. It tones gently, lathers well, doesnât cause staining, and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. Itâs not the strongest toner out there, but it delivers decent results and at a good price point.
