Growing Big Rewards in Small Spaces
This book is a wonderful guide for anyone wanting to start their own garden, no matter how little space they have. The author explains everything clearly, from soil setup to plant care, making it easy for beginners. It reminded me of my parents growing corn and strawberries in a small apartment patchâproof that you donât need acres to succeed. Following the steps in this book, Iâve already seen results in my own small garden. Practical, inspiring, and deeply rewarding.

very useful book
I’m new to raised bed gardening and honestly didnât think I could pull it off with my unpredictable weather, but this book made me feel like I actually know what Iâm doing. The tips on when to plant were very helpful, and the parts on raised beds and getting rid of pests were clear and easy to follow. This book has a lot of helpful information that isn’t overwhelming, and I’ve already seen it making a difference for me. Excited to keep learning.

Straightforward and Super Helpful
This book is great for beginners who want to grow veggies without getting overwhelmed. The steps are clear, the tips are practical, and it covers everything from soil prep to harvesting without assuming you have a huge yard or any experience. I particularly like the detailed info for things like building a raised bed, figuring out when to plant, the pest fixes and troubleshooting tips. Super helpful if you want to grow your own food (or fruits or flowers) but you donât know where to start!

Solid guide with clear info, but could use more visuals
As a gardener and landscape architect, I found this book full of solid, practical info for anyone starting with raised beds. It covers soil, layout, plant choices, and seasonal care in a simple and useful way. I just wish it had more pictures and illustrations, visuals go a long way when planning layouts and combinations. Still, a great starting point with reliable guidance for small-space gardening.

Every beginner needs, even if you’re an experienced gardener.
I’ve always had a large yard and a large garden. I love gardening, but now I’m moving to a townhome, where the yard will be small, and I’m eager to maximize the space I have for gardening. This book is so helpful for newbies like me to raised-bed gardening. I had no idea that soil would dry out faster in these beds, and while I’ve always paid attention to which plants got more sun in my big garden, I’m now realizing that peppers won’t need to be shaded by tomatoes, but I dang well better pay attention to the way shade from the fence effects the small garden I’ll be able to plant. I’m really thankful for this book; how disheartening it would have been for me, as an experienced gardener, to give raised beds a try and fail!

Itâs uplifting to rediscover strength, calm, and confidence through movements that truly fit into my daily life.

Seems like a great book for beginner gardeners
I started a small garden this year, but it didnât go very well. I grew only a few things, chives, parsley, and dill – but next year I want to try more, like cucumbers and tomatoes. Iâll plant some in pots and some in the ground. Iâm reading tips for now, and this book seems really helpful for beginners. Gave it 5 stars for now – if nothing grows, Iâll change my rating!

Decent book
Decent book. This book is as advertised. I bought this book for my wife, who is looking to begin a a raided bed garden project. The chapters were easy to read, and the style of writing was easy to understand. The book was just the proper length and reading style to keep us captivated and interested in learning more. Overall, a decent book and certainly as advertised by the cover.

This is a great book for gardening in a small space! I have a small balcony, but it makes it seem so possible there too. I love how it covers all the information from building the raised bed/container, to setting up the soil, and goes through things in detail such as crop rotation etc. I would recommend!
