Improved materials covering ears
This is my second pair of Razer Kraken headphones. On my first pair the covering on the ears completely dissolved and I couldn’t find a suitable solution to fix this even though the headphones still worked. It looks like they have different material covering the ears and I hope this stands up better. The last pair did last for a long time so I expect these to last as long, if not longer. They are very comfortable and the sound is excellent. They use a USB connection, which I prefer over Bluetooth. No batteries required. The color changing on them is a nice touch even though I don’t really need this.

Awesome Headset!
The headset was bought for work primarily. And it is working great for that as it is. I was using a plantronics on ear headset, and it would hurt my ears after wearing it for 8-10 hours a day. I bought this mostly because of the ear cusions, and the over the ear design. And it is working great so far! 5/5 stars.

What’s is important to you, style or function?
Function: is exactly like previous Kraken models in terms of sound quality. I “upgraded” because my cups on the V3 were deteriorating. They feel smaller, tighter, and i expect the cloth cups to last longer than the vynil/pleather on the old ones. I want to grip about Synapse 4, because you cannot edit sound levels or presets, but that’s not the fault of this product in particular. If I had bought BlackShark and had this issue, I would have been pissed.Style: I docked a star on style. The RGB is literally just the logo, no surrounding ambient lights. Gone is the vinyl/leather headbar. These are less cool.In summary, the pros and cons even out. This provides the sound quality and atmosphere I expect and is rarely matched with other brands, but the headphones themselves look cheaper and less cool. For the money, I can’t complain too much I guess.

Surprisingly Great for Office Use â Not Just for Gaming
This might sound unusual, but I didnât actually buy these for gaming. I work in an office where we rely heavily on headsets for phone calls and virtual meetings. The standard-issue Plantronics headset never felt comfortable on my head. While the audio and mic quality were solid, I constantly got the cords caught on things around my deskâand ended up breaking three pairs because of it.I needed something more comfortable and durable. I tried a few alternatives, including other Plantronics models and some from Logitech, but nothing really worked for me. Eventually, I decided to give these a shot. They looked big, sturdy, and well-builtâand I figured if theyâre good enough for gaming communication, why not try them in the office?As it turns out, theyâre perfect. Call quality is excellentâclients and coworkers hear me clearlyâand the audio is so good I use them to listen to music and videos when Iâm not on calls. I also appreciate the thick, durable cable. While I still occasionally snag the cord around my desk, this headset has held up without any issues so far.If youâre looking for a comfortable, reliable headset for office use, I definitely recommend giving this one a tryâeven if itâs marketed for gamers.
