Nice, Simple Light but Weak Magnets
The good: The light works well and has a simple low/off/bright switch. The rechargeable batteries are a standard size and can be easily replaced in the future. The clamp in the end of the handle is a unique feature I’ve never seen elsewhere and works adequately.The bad: The magnets are not the strongest out there. They work fine sitting on a horizontal surface, such a metal workbench. I don’t trust them to support the light under the hood of a car, however.

I’m an old man who’s been using a traditional, AC powered/corded, ‘trouble’ light for approaching sixty years. It was never a tool that I fell in love with, but it ultimately got the job done. My major objection was with the power cord and its limitations. My second major objection was how sensitive an incandescent bulb is to shock. I’d routinely bump or drop the light and the bulb’s filament would break and I’d need to replace the bulb. I can’t even tell you, after all these years, what finally brought me to the point of wanting a modern alternative, but a month ago I weighed the alternatives and bought this light.This light is fantastic. For approximately $30 it’s a tremendous value. The lack of a cord is obviously a significant feature. The LED light is significantly brighter than any equivalent incandescent bulb. The multiple magnets, along with the traditional hook, allow you to position this light just about anywhere in any position. The articulated handle makes it possible to always find the optimal position, affording the optimal amount of light in any and every situation. Having been using this light for only a few weeks, I can’t speak as to long term battery life, but run time on a single charge was certainly adequate. If I was a mechanic who needed to use a trouble light all day, I’d by two of these lights, using one in the morning and then the second one in the afternoon while my ‘morning’ light was charging so that I’d always be working with a reasonably ‘full’ charge. I usually can find something critical to say about anything, but not this light. As far as I can tell, it’s perfect the way it is.

Really bright light. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger on the base. It tends to tip over if I try to stand it horizontally. The removable batteries are a great feature, allowing quick changes to freshly charged ones.
