Wide field of view with excellent quality, speed, and rich features.
EXCELLENT Camera. I loved the 180-degree field of view as well as how easy it was to set up. The price is excellent. Ultra wide and no subscription
This is a great camera with high quality imagery and ultra wide view. It’s super simple to set up with simply scanning a code on the side. You’re up within just a minute or so. The included solar panel is awesome so you never have to worry about power as long as you’re installing it to face the sun. It’s an extremely wide view though, so you have to really look at your case to see if it’s the right fit. For us, we have two of these. One is to look at our whole yard when we want to watch our animals outside. It’s great to get that whole view. However, for the front of the house it’s almost too wide for just looking at the house. We get a lot of the neighbors fence and the other neighbor as well. It’s probably overkill for something that really just needs to see a square shaped area. The app seems very secure with the option to share the camera with authorized viewers. We are transitioning away from Arlo which over the years got worse quality products and increasing subscription fees. This is great because there are no subscription fees and you can still get motion detection alerts for various things including animals, and set the size of the activity and zone you’re interested in.

    Almost perfect
It’s a great camera for the most part. It has very clear image, little lag and usually stays above 90% power. I love how customizable the settings are. However, there are often times where it doesn’t record at all, even on the highest sensitivity. I’m still playing around with it though. Maybe I’ll find the sweet spot.

Love the concept but not the image quality
Needs improvement. It’s supposed to be 4K but I suppose it’s only UHD with both cameras combined which is a deficit. When zooming in the definition looks no better than a 480p. Things that need improvement are:1) Real 4K definition per camera2) At least 30 fps or better needed as all security camera makers always cheap out on this feature.3) IR Night vision. All other accompanying features such as the app and ability to connect via FTP and the very wide screen are great no need to pan when you’re just recording a front porch, but of little meaning if the image quality is subpar. In the video you can see how poor the clarity is. I recorded it in my room where the distance from the camera to the poster is about 12 feet max. I’m going to keep testing it to decide if to keep it. I do like the panoramic view which is why I ordered it in the first place.

Works really well; person detection not perfect but NO integration with NVR
This provides what’s promised – wide angle, solar powered (mine has remained fully charged), timely alerts/updates, easy to use app/playback and a fairly clear picture. The stretched 180 degree is never going to be as clear as a narrower lens but you can certainly see what’s going on – detail at 20 ft is sufficient. Night time brightness is excellent thanks to Color X. Person detection AI isn’t perfect – animals have triggered it. My biggest disappointment is that it doesn’t integrate with the Reolink NVR – I have a whole reolink ecosystem which is why I stuck with them for this, but it’s not compatible so if someone steals the camera, the SD card and recordings on it are gone 🙁

Amazing Night Vision and Wide Coverage in a Single Camera
This camera was a perfect replacement for three separate units thanks to its 180-degree field of view. Even more impressive is the night vision, despite living by a mountainside where it’s completely dark, the footage appears almost like daytime.

    Not shareable
Camera was easy to install but i’m very disappointed to find that I can not share the camera with other people in my family. I have several Reolink cameras at our home and at our cottage, all are shareable.

    It Powers It Self
It is working flawless, The motion detecting is a little slow. The clarity of the picture is good. It is a setup and forget type of security camera, As it charges the Battery by the included 6watt Solar Panel that has a Long enough cable attached So panel can be facing the Southern Sun for Maximum Exposure !

I have quite a few Reolink cameras set up, and several Argus cameras going back to the Argus 2. I also have another Argus 4 Pro+, which I’ve been running now for over a year.In many ways, the Argus 4 Pro+ is significantly better than previous generations; and not just by a little!First, I should point out that there are very few things I don’t like about this camera, so I’ll start with those. The elephant in the room: the battery is not replaceable. This is a shame, and something that Reolink changed in the last model, too. Older models had removable batteries, which could be replaced when the included battery inevitably goes bad. In fact, that was one reason why I was able to save a “dead” Argus 2, the battery simply needed to be swapped. Not having that ability with the Argus 4 Pro gives this a 2-4 year lifespan if you keep it outdoors all year.Reolink still hasn’t allowed notifications to show a preview thumbnail, like I get with pretty much every other security camera I own; even our bird feeder camera gives you a thumbnail. While this may seem like a minor gripe, it significantly diminishes the usefulness of getting push notifications. You are always inconvenienced by having to open the app and waiting for it to load before knowing what triggered the motion sensor.Reolink could easily fix this, and I’m not sure why they haven’t.My second complaint, is that this camera does not get as much height captured in the frame compared to previous Argus cameras.I installed this one at the side of my home, which actually replaces the need for two older Argus cameras I had covering the same area. This camera gets “wall to wall” coverage, which is amazing. But, you lose some vertical field-of-view.Depending on where you set this camera up, the loss of horizontal video may not be a problem. With the Argus 4 Pro+ I have set up in front of my house, I did have to make a concession, and lose some capture below the camera in order to get more of the road.Apart from those two negatives, nearly everything else on this camera has been improved.Setting it up was very quick, mostly because I already had experience with using the Reolink app. Set up the camera BEFORE installing it, since you’ll need to scan the QR code on the back of the unit.I have both my Argus 4 Pro+ cameras set up to use the Reolink Hub, which was super easy.Connecting to Wifi 5ghz band, which uses WiFi 6 is something I’d suggest for a camera with much resolution. I’ve got no issues streaming in full quality! The included solar panel is the second generation from Reolink, and it’s twice as powerful as the previous. It’s also larger as a result, but not hugely so. My other Reolink panels have survived without any issues for at least the last two years, 365 days a year, but be warned that these battery-powered, solar-charging cameras don’t really charge over the winter, so be prepared to tweak your settings to be less sensitive. To that effect, the settings offered for motion sensitivity are impressive! You have a general level of sensitivity, as well as an option to prevent false alarms (good if you have leaves or bushes flowing in the wind within view). But in addition, you can control sensitivity for vehicles, people, animals, and other (separately) based on size (min and max); you can also set up zones where it will not detect motion. The ColorX night vision is highly impressive, and it beats black and white night vision any day of the week! It easily allows me to identify specific colours of vehicles long after sundown. One thing to note, however, is that the resolution isn’t as clear when using night vision. Still usable, but don’t expect the same quality as you would during the day. What impresses me most about the Argus 4 Pro+ is the vastly improved detection. As an example, previous Argus cameras would capture delivery people as they were walking away from my home. And they were never sensitive enough to capture a car passing by the house, and certainly never people walking across the street. But the Argus 4 Pro+ not only captures objects at a distance, but it does so much faster than before. I can actually capture people as they approach my home, rather than long after they have left the frame. When compared to a wired Reolink camera, however, it’s still not perfect. Wired cameras have the luxury to capture several seconds BEFORE a motion, so you can see what lead up to the motion being detected. This is pretty important, and while the Argus 4 Pro+ doesn’t give you that ability, it’s the best in class as far as battery powered cameras go.If you do need a battery-operated camera that can record video before the moment that movement was detected, Reolink’s Altas can do it.The 4k resolution is good, but keep in mind that you’re spreading that resolution across a very wide angle. Yes, it’s better than the 1080p I get from a single camera, but it doesn’t resolve as much detail as a single camera in 4k, especially since it’s got such a wide angle. For most purposes, I don’t think this is an issue. The camera’s quality and performance and stellar. The included time-lapse feature is something I’ve used in previous models, and will continue to use it with the Argus 4 Pro+. It’s cool to see a time-lapse of an incoming storm, for example.Lastly, unlike with other dual lens cameras I’ve used, the Argus 4 Pro+ is quite small. It doesn’t scream “I’M A CAMERA!”, which I like.Overall, the improvements to the detection range and accuracy, as well as the high-quality wide angle and incredible night vision makes the Argus 4 Pro one of my favourite Reolink cameras to date.If they could just add thumbnails to push notifications, it would be hard to beat!

If you don’t have or can’t have a traditional PoE camera outside because you can’t have cables going through your outside walls, this solar-powered camera is an excellent alternative.I already own a Reolink Altas PT Ultra, so setting it up was rather easy as I was able to plug my already installed solar panel, but if it’s your first time, setting it up can be a little tricky if you don’t have the right kind of walls or beams outside. The solar panel’s base can only be installed horizontally, as the panel won’t be able to be at the right angle to receive a good amount of sunlight if you mount it vertically. I do wish the base was articulated so that it could be used at more angles, as I had to think a lot about where I’d put it outside my home. The strip that can be used around trees did come in handy though, as it can also be used around beams or other poles if needed. The camera itself is very compact compared to the Atlas PT Ultra. Its battery is also fairly smaller, but since it’s hooked up to a solar panel, it’s able to stay charged. During colder winter months though, I did need to manually charge my Atlas a few times as the cold weather tends to be very harsh on batteries, so I’d expect to need to charge this one even more often because of its smaller battery.Performance-wise, the camera does cover a lot of horizontal ground. It also performs very well at night, even with minimal light. I have mine hooked up to my Reolink NVR, so I didn’t need an SD card. It does send detection notifications fairly regularly when it detects something. I have it on PIR (passive infrared sensor) as I don’t want the battery to drain too quickly, so that may be part of it as it seems it sometimes have a hard time with some types of motion. You do tend to miss a few seconds sometimes before the PIR wakes up, but that’s the tradeoff for having a battery-powered camera.Take note that this is really made for people who need a very wide field of view. Its 180° field of view sees a lot horizontally, but it’s definitely limited vertically, unless you can find a spot where you’re far away enough from the area you want to cover. And that’s also another thing. Since it has two cameras to cover that much ground, if your camera is setup too close to what you want to monitor, you will get some dead space between the two cameras in the middle. It’s not much, but it’s there. And since it’s such a wide angle, it’s not necessarily as convenient to watch on the Reolink app/software, because it doesn’t fit a standard widescreen monitor or phone. So if you need a super wide camera and can’t get a PoE camera, this definitely is a great option. Reolink has been solid so far for my camera and NVR needs, so it’s easy for me to recommend their products. It’s just that a panning camera with a more standard field of view will definitely be a better option for most, but if the Argus 4 Pro checks the boxes of what you need, it’s a great choice.

I got this camera to upgrade my aging back yard camera. I wanted to improve the image quality and also wanted a camera that works with HomeAssistant. I saw that HomeAssistant has a ReoLink integration which should make setting up the camera super easy (in HomeAssistant) but after trying to add it and doing a little research, Reolink’s battery powered camera lack the features required to make this work. I know this is a pretty niche problem and wont affect most people.Another feature that is missing from this camera that I expected to be there (I have seen this on much cheaper solar cameras in the past) is the ability to make it record 24/7. I understand the solar panel may not be able to support all day recording but would be nice to have if the camera is plugged into power (mine is). Now this is probably just on me, I probably got the wrong camera and am looking for a non battery powered one but regardless I think it would be nice to have the option. And really my only other complaint is with the motion sensing. I find the settings for this a bit confusing and hard to dial it in to get notifications I actually care about. There is PIR motion sensor settings and sensitivity but also “detection alarm” settings which also have sensitivity. There is “Object size” settings so you can try and tell it to to record or not based on if something is smaller than or larger than a user provided size. This is also broken down into three categories: “Person”, “Vehicle”, and “Animal”. I played around with these settings with little luck and frankly understanding of how its suppose to work. There is even “Reduce False Alarms” toggle but I don’t think it has made any difference for me. I have managed to tune it a bit so it seems to not go off every minute but also it sometimes wont pick up as I walk right past it. This would all not be such a big deal if it had all day recording where I could go back and review the footage but it is not an option.Ok but aside from these issues I am having, there is a lot to like about the actual hardware. The dual lens system is fantastic, the image gets merged into a seamless single image which is super wide. This provides a large viewing angle without needing a camera with rotation. The build construction on the camera also feels great, it definitely looks and feels like a premium product. The solar panel is solid and looks like it is built to last, definitely more sturdy than cheaper solar panels I have gotten with solar lights. As I mentioned above, I am not able to easily add this camera to my HomeAssistant for easy viewing, however, Reolink has an app that works on Windows which lets me stream the camera which is better than nothing.Overall this is a great camera just maybe not the camera I am looking for as it lacks features I care about. I think a lot of people are not concerned with these features and mostly want a high quality image, this camera definitely has that. I hope they can make updates to the software to make the motion sensing less complicated but outside of that it is a good option.

There are a few features that differentiates this Reolink camera from others. First is the field of view, this is a very, very wide camera. It’s actually two cameras which stitch their feeds into one single feed. I have mine mounted about 20 ft away from the back door of my house and I can clearly see my two neighbours homes in the video. This means no one can approach my house without being seen by the camera. For storage it uses a micro SD card, supports up to 512GB, no need for cloud storage, no need for a subscription. Playback is fast enough and can be viewed from your computer or phone. This camera has a good set of locally processed AI features. It can detect people, vehicles and pets and it does it reliably, after tuning the sensitivity I rarely get false notifications. It works really well. One of the best things about Reolink cameras is that you do not need a subscription it works very well stand-alone. This is a great camera. Recommended

This security cam has very good specs. The daytime video is very detailed and clear. The color X night vision also has good definition and clarity. The main feature for me is the 180 degree dual lens wide view which gives me perfect coverage for my house. I don’t like getting too many false positives in terms of notifications and the motion zone alert system was simple to configure and it works well. Some other things i like about this camera is the ability to use a 512 GB micro SD card. Wifi 6 is also faster when viewing video on my phone. My only concern is that i hope the solar panel will keep this camera charged during the upcoming short days of winter. Now in September their is plenty of sun and solar panel is working great.Highly recommended
