So far so good
This has been up about a week and so far so good. I did attach to my metal door instead of the frame/trim so I get alerts whenever I open the door but that surface was smoother than the trim. I did have to attach the backing to the camera (that you use the little orange tool to remove) as the cover plate did not come off but the 4 screws still lined up. Anyone with that little orange tool or strong enough to rip it off the door can steal it – itâs not locked down at all so keep that in mind. I had also tried the off brand door clamp and that seemed to be even easier to steal and didnât fit due to the door window trim.Edit: itâs been a few months now and this works great. Itâs had direct sunlight, weather, and is still stuck on well. Iâve charged the camera – which you have to remove from the mount and it was super easy.

Over a year and itâs still on
Iâm writing this review over a year later. Both of my mounts are still up. All seasons, rain, snow, heat. It hasnât moved at all, extremely sturdy. Would definitely buy again if I needed too. Installation was very easy, and it fit my ring camera perfectly. Very easy to take the ring camera on and off the mount.

Great option if you cannot drill a mount
This mount has worked great. I live in Florida and it was so easy to mount and the adhesive has not had any issues despite the humidity and rain here. Highly recommend if you are unable to drill a mount.

Wait a bit then stick it
When I first installed mount to the wall, it fell off. I did not yet install the Ring doorbell itself (so no damage done). The mount adhesive was therefore now exposed for sometime (like overnight). The following morning, I tried again by sticking it to the wall (with some force) like I did on the first install. It worked. So far, it’s fitting perfectly. I’m not sure if there is some method to waiting a bit (after exposing the adhesive). Hope this review encourages someone. Four stars for waiting a bit before it worked.

Added Gorilla Mounting Tape
Working great so far. Many thanks to those who mentioned Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting tape. Living in SE Florida where itâs incredibly hot and muggy, I used the Gorilla tape. Itâs only been 4 weeks, but so far itâs holding up great.

This worked well on aplastic door frame without the need to drill holes. Very easy to fit, remove the backing strips, press into place and allow the glue to bond. Fits perfectly. The bell has been removed from the bracket several times for charging and the bracket is holding well. Also has pull to remove adhesive strips, havenât tested those.

easy to use, came with additional strips. I’ve moved and had to remove it to put it at the new house. It was stuck there well. once its on its a job to get it off. so works great
