Excellent product
I bought this tool mainly for replacing shingles that are damaged. It’s a real pain to slip a new shingle in under an existing shingle, then nail the new shingle down. I had a lot of shingles to do and thought this tool would be time-saver. . It wouldn’t break old shingles when installing new ones.

great tool
i loved this thing. it took a little practice to use but i really got great use from it. mine didn’t come with the red cover. my suggestion was that it be slightly wider and have a bigger magnet.

Needs LONGER Back Handle
Tool work’s great after a little practice, but needs more BACK HANDLE MASS. And a way to stabilize the ANGLE that the nail is held in position. To keep it from bouncing around when the decking flexes up and down, and a longer handle will help hold it’s starting strike position….Roofing Deck Bounces So Much That it’s Hard to Start the Nails, and Without the Longer Handle , There is Minimal Way to Control the Swaying Motion, that results….Longer Handle= Equals Better Control, of Nails Staying at Same Angle….Less Poorly Driven Nails…Equals= Cleaner insertion of Nails….
