The best boot ever
From a seasoned roofer. I bought this for my house after installing for a customer. Very good design and excellent customer service. The future of boots! This system replaces three different products we used to buy separately so it ends up being about the same cost in the end.

No insect screen protection.
Item is expensive compared to other vents but this product is different. I purchased two of these as my roof is not very steep and was worried about rain/snow entering the vent. Maybe a bit overcautious. I also installed this item just like an attic fan or another type of vent. Cut your hole and slide the vent under the shingles being very careful and using common sense. My only issue is that the product doesn’t have screen protection to keep insects especially bees from entering and setting up shop! I put a fiberglass screen around the vents and secured them with ty wraps. So far so good.

Steel roofs require specially designed roof vents, and with some kitchen exhaust fans that requires 6″ vents that can be a challenge as my roofer found to be very difficult to find 6″ roof vents for steel roofs. I did some searching and found ROOFIVENT made a vent exactly for metal roofs. I contacted Pavel @ ROOFIVENT who was very helpful answering questions throughout the whole process of getting this vent ordered & installed on my new steel roof.I will tell you flat out, if you want a quality roof vent then you want ROOFIVENT, they will last a lifetime!!
