Great non-programmable thermostat..
Nice thermostat, looks great on the wall, not to big, not to small. Easy to hookup and use, love the easy to read numbers, would recommend buying..

Replacement thermostat
Very simple, very basic, does not program so be aware of that. Big clear display. Set is so simple but takes you through every step….every thing from 1 or 2 stage function. 2 AA battery not included but definitely increases battery life.

Good replacement
We replaced our old. round, simple Honeywell thermostat…..the kind your grandma has. 20 years ago it was OK but it seems that it was less accurate/responsive than what we wanted. Probably just my expectation. Anyway, these were on sale, and advertised to be very simple so I bought it. The operation is simple. The set up is more of less straight forward with opening the menu and clicking on what you believe to be the right selections. Given our heat system (boiler with forced hot water oil fired) is about as simple as can be. Only heat with a wood stove, the wiring and set up could be simpler. We have a 2 wire system that is about as straight forward as you can get but there is not a straight forward diagram and specifics in the manual for the menu choices. Seems to me if you have a system with A/C the set up would be easier. Anyway, I could see someone not familiar with wiring to get a a tad confused. We have a black and white conductor in our wiring so there is no red. My first thought was the black goes to the ‘R’ connector and my first shot at the white wire was to the ‘C’-Common I believe its meant to be. Didn’t work so my wife found a help page on line that suggested the white ought to go to the ‘W’ which another reference said is not used in two wire systems. That did the trick. The thermostat works well and it is easy to read and there is no confusion…….no programming, no worrying about what day you want it to do what, no WiFi connections used or needed. I do not recall where I read what but there are confusing comments about whether it needs batteries or not. I installed them, 2 AA’s so I guess that does something to remember the setup memory if you lose power. On the back of the device, I wrote down the various menu choices that work for my system. I figure if they get erased/lost I won’t have to go searching for how to set them up and decide which setting to select. Overall, good choice if you are not worried that you can run your thermostat from a cell phone and want a simpler life. Another observation that is inconsequential: when you change the go-to temp setting, it takes about 7-8 seconds to respond. I believe that is what this controller does so do not expect it to immediately ‘click’ when you change a temp setting.

Easy to read and to use.
Easy to use. The current temperature is displayed in large, easy to read numerals and the target temp in slightly smaller numerals above. The mode and fan menu displays are very tiny and difficult to see but once they are set, you do not need to tend to them. The up and down buttons are large and rubberized – it is easy to adjust them even for people with clumsy thumbs.

Doesn’t do as described for multi stage use.
Says it does multi stage cooling. Right in the image. Does not not in fact do multi stage cooling. Would have returned but we realized one day too late. Crap and sick and tired of crap.

It is very easy to program and works great. I like the fact that you can set it to automatically go from heat to ac without having to keep changing at season change. When the battery is low it tells you on the display and is very easy to replace the batteries. I like the simplicity of changing the temperature and the fact that i can set at 72 and it stays there year around. I think the cost is very reasonable and would highly recommend for simplicity and reliability.

Nice and simple thermostat to control my new 2 stage furnace. Only complaint is it requires batteries instead of using the low voltage power supplied by the furnace.
