Do I need a non-slip or cushion pad?
Non-slip pads are best for high-traffic areas such as foyers and hallways, where rugs and runners are prone to slipping and sliding. Our cushion pads add a plush layer for large rugs already anchored by furniture, such as living and dining rooms.
Sustainability in Practice
We use sustainable sourcing, like using recycled felt that might otherwise end up in landfills and rubber from real rubber trees.
NOT NON-SLIP – This pad is meant for use with rugs anchored by furniture or heavy rugs that stay in place on their own. For non-slip applications, try one of our felt and rubber options.
PLUSH FEEL – 100% felt rug pad designed to add comfort under rugs. Try the thicker 3/8″ or 1/2″ options for even more cushion.
DENSE FIBER PAD – Pad contains 24oz of felt per square yard. Thickness is approximately 1/4″ throughout (actual thickness may vary slightly in production). Good for noise reduction and insulation (warmth) benefits.
PROTECTS FLOORS FROM DAMAGE – Furniture on larger rugs in living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms can cause abrasion to floors over time. Will not mark or stain floor finishes.

Nice pad!
I’m really glad the product details specified that this rug pad is NOT non-slip. That’s really important to note, because it is DEFINITELY slippy. But that’s okay for my use, as all 3 that I ordered are going to be anchored under heavy furniture. Just make sure that will be good for your use case, too.That said, the pad itself is great! All 3 that I ordered (1/4 inch, 8×10) arrived on time and were well packaged. Coming out of the package, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no smell or anything. And they were rolled up, so there weren’t really any folds that I had to get out. The pads are all the same size and thickness… which, when it comes to size, is bigger by at least an inch than all of my 8×10 rugs. That’s okay, though, I’d rather they be bigger than smaller, and they’re easy to cut with a good pair of scissors. So no issues there! As far as thickness, they make SUCH a difference! My rugs feel much more plush and cushy.I’ll be honest, I didn’t want to spend the money on rug pads. But I’m moving into a new house, and moving from wall to wall carpeting to hardwood floors and area rugs, and my mother *insisted* that I get these. I chose these specific pads because they looked pretty good, and more importantly, they were cheap. And I hate to say it… but my mom was right. My rooms feel MUCH more cozy after I added these pads under my rugs. I was prepared to not really notice a difference, given the price on these, but instead I’m left feeling like I got a great value! So yeah, great rug pads, definitely recommend!

Very nice pad for my application
I was very happy with the 3/8 thickness and quality of the pad under an older Sarouk rug with medium/low pile. Made it feel a bit more plush. The coffee table on the rug is extremely heavy so no concerns about the felt moving on the travertine floor.

Great padding for area rugs
I bought this pad for an area rug for my bedroom. The pad came folded up but after a day of being spread out, there were no permanent creases. I purchased the 1/4â thickness because I have a thin area rug and I didnât want to trip on the edges. The quality is very good and sturdy. When I laid the rug on top of the pad, it stayed in place. No readjusting necessary. It fit nicely under my rug and I didnât have to trim it as the description said you may have to. I need two more additional area rugs and I plan on purchasing two more of these pads. It is great quality and the price is right!

Adequate padding for babies and comfort for mom and dad!
This rug pad is so nice! Iâve never bought a pad to go under a rug before. Now that I have a 10 month old and spend so much time on the floor, I thought it was time. I got the 1/2â thick and it provides enough padding for my baby if he falls and enough comfort for mom and dad. It does come big so I had to cut it down with some. I cut it a bit smaller than the actual rug to allow the rug to fall to the ground to prevent tripping. My rug did slide a bit on it before putting furniture down. Overall though, I am happy with the purchase!

Very pleased with these rug pads
I’ve bought several rug pads from this company over the years. I just moved and needed to buy some more. I got an 8×10 3/8″ for the living room. It is very thick and comfortable. It has smooth felt on both sides. I did need to trim it a good amount but it was not difficult to cut with regular scissors. I also got 8×10 1/4″ for the dining room. On this pad, one side is smooth and the other side has a rough feeling texture to it. I put that side up faces the rug. This one only needed very minimal trimming. Overall, happy with both pads, I just didn’t expect there to be a difference between the two. I plan to buy another one soon.

Quality rug pad for a great price!
Really nice rug pad. I had to cut it down a few inches as it was slightly larger than our rug and it was not easy to cut without a large shears but itâs a nice quality pad. We have heavy furniture so we didnât need it for grip but we have a thinner area rug and this rug pad makes it look and feel so much more substantial.

Very wrinkled from packaging process
It came with huge creases & ripples due to being rolled very tight. It was folded in half, but one of the whole corners was folded in so had many creases as it was rolled. It took extreme massaging, by two of us, as we tightly rolled it around a hard cardboard tube (which I had saved from the area rug that this pad was going under). We left it rolled up for 24hrs. There were still significant creases/distortions when we unrolled it & put the area rug over it. Luckily the rug is heavy & stiff, so itâs okay. It gives adequate cushion under the rug, but we shouldnât have had to work so hard!

Thick rug pad perfect for our 9 x 12 rug. Itâs only held down by one sofa but so far no slippage. It is soft on foot, but not ULTRA cushy. When paired with our medium-pile rug itâs soft enough for our little one to crawl and play on.

Je viens de recevoir ce sous tapis et quelle différence. Mon tapis se voit rehausser d’environ 1/2 pouces de confort. Vraiment satisfait de cet achat et je le recommande. Belle qualité de feutre moelleux à souhait et prolongera certainement la vie de mon tapis en plus de le rendre encore plus moelleux.

It took a bit of muscle but wasn’t hard to cut to the size of the rug. It makes the rug far more comfortable to walk on. In fact, you can sit on the carpet now without much discomfort. It does slide around, but that will be fixed when we get the furniture on it. I think felt is supposed to be made of natural fibers, hence fire resistant. I don’t know the fire rating for this felt, or whether it is made of mostly natural fibers or synthetic.

This felt pad makes a thin area rug feel much thicker and comfortable underfoot. It is the perfect size with no cutting required. The pad was purchased in part to protect the area rug from old hardwood flooring in a rental unit where the wood hasn’t been maintained very well; the pad is protecting the rug very well despite lots of foot traffic. Another plus is that the felt pad was delivered earlier than expected. I would definitely order this product again!
