Ryobi redefines cordless lawn mowers with the second generation 20 in. 40-Volt Brushless Mower. Featuring gas-like power, this mower has an intelligent brushless motor with load-sensing technology, allowing it to detect and deliver the power needed to maintain an optimal cutting speed. This means the mower will not get bogged down in overgrown patches of grass and, when additional power is not needed, increases run time by saving the battery. The Ryobi Brushless Mower has a large 20 in. cutting deck, and with its mulching or bagging option, you can get the job done quickly and just the way you like. With its push-button start and 7-position single point height adjustment, you’re ready to begin in seconds without having to mess with gas and oil. For easy and compact storage, the telescoping handle has quick-release knobs and the mower is designed to be stored vertically.

Nice overall
Vacuuming power is gone but the cut and quiet motor was very nice. Light weight as well. Once I figured out the 3 things needed to get it to start it was nice. Iâm sure itâs safety measures but you need to have the grip bar fully extended, red key inserted next to battery and the grass collection bag must be attached. I took the mower out of the box slapped the battery in and was worried that I bought a bad mower till I read the instructions. As of Dec 31 2023 gas mowers are banned from sells in the stores so I went out and got an electric. Look for rebates online to see if you can get $250 back like I did.

Small yard perfection
We are a Ryobi family so when it came time for a mower we decided to give Ryobi a try. This mower is quiet, holds charge (the battery is interchangeable with our other Ryobi products), and light-weight enough my kid can lift and maneuver himself (and he is not an âathleticâ kid). I would note that the wheels themselves are a hard-plastic (a bit cheap) and the mower is not self-propelled, so if you have terrain this may make maneuvering more difficult. Overall, a great purchase, very pleased!
So far good Amazon you guys are a blessing for the customers. Just keep being fair to the public cause you make a lot of money cause of the customers. Just stay prayed up. And I pray for the CEO of Amazon. Thank all of you for the support and job you do. –
Self propelled stops working
The lawnmower is great. Make sure you have a warranty on it. Cause the self propelled will stop working on you.

Works great
I was skeptical of an electric lawn mower at first. But after using this, I think it’s even better than gas

the little mower that could
Its light weight, easy to use, and cuts quite well. I used it to begin tackling my belly button high field full of grass and weeds. A few weeds are even over 5 ft tall, let my yard go wild for too long. While it lacks the power to plow through that ridiculous scenario (sometimes to the point of stopping the bade), it can tackle it with a few passes and by angling the front of the mower so the front wheels are 1-2 feet off the ground to get the high parts on the first pass. I’ve got a bunch of Ryobi products and have wound up with a four 40V batteries. Found three 6 amp batteries can run this indefinitely, 1 to run while the other 2 are charging. I’d guess you could get by with two 6 amp batteries if your grass was only 6 to 10 inches tall.Missed opportunities:1) charging left indicated by the start button on the handle. You are left guessing how much cutting you can get out of the device and it by proxy encourages to drain your batteries to 0. Ryobi already has a gauge for the 40V backpack, why not here?2) there’s space for 2 batteries, 1 for use and the other for storage. They should of let you plug them both in so the mower could automatically drain them sequentially.

Annoying forward drive delay
Disclaimer: I did not purchase this mower from Amazon. Overall, the mower cuts well even healthy, thick grass. My complaints relate to 1) the severe back-weighting caused by the end of the handle being so far behind the mower deck. And 2) the annoying two-second delay before the drive wheels start turning. This is what you end up with when attorneys make product decisions. Big miss, annoying,â and not safer. If you are a first time mower, these features prolly wonât bother you.

Great and last long
I bought it on June 2021. It has been 3 years. Installed new blade and rear guard flap and then it work fine. Low maintenance product.

I’ve had this mower 3 years so far…
This mower is very light which is not it’s greatest attribute (to me). I have almost an acre yard and I live in Florida. Very often – in fact, always I need to mow twice a week in the summer. I also shared it with my daughter for her lawn for an entire year. The only thing I have replaced is the blade, which is normal after 3 summer’s in Florida. Especially since I have ran my mower over rougher terrain than a normal lawn. It is a sturdy mower, looks the same as the day I bought it, and has been very reliable. I have not had an issue of any kind. As a single woman on disability, this self propelled mower is one of the best purchases I have made. The BEST!
