The stated speeds of up to 5,000MB/s are about double my previous drive as well, so it seems on point, and read/write speeds overall are much better. Easy to implement. Make sure you have a heat sink and thermal pads to connect the unit to the heatsink! The way it is made, the surface is not flat, making the thermal pad to close the gap between the memory unit and the external heatsink (that you provide) an incomplete interface (gaps where there is no thermal contact). This seems to be hot this vendor makes their units…not flat. I saw this on a 1Tb model as well.Easily recognized. No defects as of yet. Does run hot.
