Customers say
Customers find the electronic deadbolt easy to install and use, with programming codes being straightforward. The lock receives positive feedback for its build quality, appearance, and ease of use. However, the functionality and durability receive mixed reviews – while some say it works like a charm, others report it completely stops working, and while some find it durable, others mention it fails after 1.5 years. Moreover, the lock functionality is also mixed, with several customers noting the lack of an auto-locking option.

Modern, Sleek Deadbolt That Works Beautifully
Iâve had this lock for about 2 months and Iâm very pleased with it! I got this particular lock because you have to manually turn the deadbolt, unlike others that are automated. I have an older home and the door doesnât always line up perfectly during various times of the year, so this was a must for me. It locks beautifully, and looks sleek and modern. I also love that the keypad is flush, the numbers arenât buttons. The lock/unlock has worked seamlessly, and overall Iâm really happy with it.Installation gets 4 stars. Wasnât the worst thing Iâve had to install, but the instructions werenât the most thorough. Had to restart twice due to missed steps that werenât spelled out, but it was generally intuitive and it probably took me a little over an hour to install both this lock and a matching handle. Programming codes is pretty easy as well.

Hesitant at first, glad I bought it
I was hesitant about this because I’ve only ever had the kind that lock and unlock automatically. I actually really like and prefer this kind now. It’s much quieter, and the battery seems to last longer because it isn’t powering as many mechanisms. Very sleek and modern looking. I love the light feature at night, and the fact that you can “jump start” the battery from the outside if it dies and you get locked out. Easy to install. Not the easiest to program in comparison to others I’ve had, but I watched a YouTube video and got it figured out without having to ask my hubby for help.

Solid – be aware: you need to manually actuate the deadbolt
Very solid.Easy installation. No missing hardware. It disengaged the manual locking handle on the inside or outside after a short time. So, the lock stays unlocked (deadbolt retracted) if you forget to turn the lock by hand.It is lacking an auto locking option where the deadbolt slides to the lock position. I did know that when I bought the lock. Just would be nice if it locked on its own (e.g. like the Schlage WiFi lock)

Our second one
We had this on the back door, from past home owner. Weâve liked it so much we purchased one for the front door. These are easy to install and work well

The dead bolt does not turn automatically, you have to turn it yourself while the light is blinking.
Very easy to install. Very easy to use.

Defective Screws
Normally this Schlage lock design is very good. But there is something wrong with this build as I got 2 of them with the same problem, they don’t tighten to the door. The problem seems to be the screws are too long. I tried using washers to take up the space but there is not enough clearance for the washers to fit. I ended up returning them. I’ll have to buy a keyed lock to match the door handle.

Great product, easy to install. Still has to prove itself during the winter, but Iâm confident. I recommend.

I just received and installed this lock. Very pleased so far. Excellent instructions.I am a skilled tradesman, but even so I found this to be very easy to install, among the easiest lock mechanisms ever. I did have to enlarge the hole on my door, but it is 50+ yrs, so no surprise there. The entire process of installation took about 1/2 hour, from enlarging hole to complete programming codes. If my opinion changes, I WILL update this rating.REVIEW UPDATE!Still very happy- in fact, the future is here! I can’t believe it took me so long to go this route. I will probably never buy a keyed lock again.ANOTHER UPDATE!Still going strong. No complaints these many years later.

Great product, but does not lock automatically, need to turn it mannually after entering the code

Product works only for year or so before a specific mechanical spring gets tired and the door no longer opens. Bad design

Love this lock. I have a few of them in my house. The only issue you should keep your eye on is you have to change the battery every 6-8 month, if you use this lock daily. It has no battery indicator. I highly recommend this lock to everyone. It is easy to open and close. We had the harsh winter this year, and the lock worked fine. Love it
