    I’d highly recommend it!
The Seagate Portable 5TB External Hard Drive is an excellent storage solution for both work and entertainment. Setup was quick and easy—just plug it in via USB 3.0 and it’s ready to use without any hassle. The transfer speeds are solid for an HDD, and the large 5TB capacity is perfect for backing up files, photos, videos, or even an entire game library. I’ve used it with my PC and Xbox, and it works seamlessly on both. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to carry, making it great for travel or daily use. The 1-year rescue plan adds peace of mind as well. Overall, reliable performance at a great value—I’d highly recommend it!

Got the 28tb version , works as expected for an external HDD, handling large transfers with ease, and breezing through smaller file transfers without a hitch. The enclosure is sleek and compact, feels like is of good qualitySetup was quick and easy, everything came in the boxThe drive can get a bit noisy when it starts up but that’s not much of a problemIts a really great value for the price

Plenty of Storage in a Simple, Portable Package
Plenty of Storage in a Simple, Portable PackageI’ve been using the Seagate Portable 4TB drive for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my most reliable tools for storage. What struck me first was how little effort it takes to get started. Out of the box, it was literally plug-and-play—no drivers, no setup hassles. Just connect it to my laptop and it was instantly recognized. The 4TB capacity is perfect for what I need—backups of my work files, a growing photo/video library, and a good chunk of media for travel. It’s a compact little drive that fits easily in a bag or even a jacket pocket, and because it doesn’t need external power, I can carry it around and use it anywhere without worrying about an outlet.Transfer speeds over USB 3.0 are solid for an HDD. I wouldn’t use it for constant video editing or heavy real-time tasks, but for moving large folders, streaming media, or doing weekly backups, it’s been smooth and dependable. It runs quietly and doesn’t heat up noticeably, even during long transfers. One thing to keep in mind: like all mechanical hard drives, it’s not built for drops or rough handling. I keep mine in a padded pouch when traveling just to be safe.Bottom line: If you want a straightforward, reliable, and high-capacity external hard drive at a fair price, this 4TB Seagate is hard to beat. It’s simple, portable, and does its job exactly as promised.

For $329, is an amazing price for the storage capacity.
Best price for an HDD of this capacity. Bought it for $329. Working as expected out of the box. No issues, no surprises. Solid performance. Second time I’m buying those high capacity external storage devices a much better deal than an internal option of the same size, that I would pay a lot more.

Incredible Storage for an Incredible Value… WITH A CATCH!
The 24TB version of this drive is incredible value for the money in 2025 at the time I write this. Heck, I’m considering buying another one! They’re slightly cheaper than Seagate’s own 24TB bare drives, so these are a good shucking candidate as well. Writes large files at roughly 230 MB/s on a good day, so about as fast as you could hope for a hard drive to be.A WORD OF WARNING: Such good bang for your buck storage DOES come at a cost… Wakeup time! This is the first hard drive I’ve owned where the time it takes to wake up from standby became extremely noticeable and annoying. By default Windows will probably want to put this drive to sleep when you don’t do any file operations for like 5 minutes. I actually had to go into my Power Plan settings and extend the hard drive sleep timer out to like 30 minutes, because when this drive spins down, and you click on it, you can expect it to take a good 30-45 seconds before anything starts happening, during which time File Explorer will be completely hung. I even made the mistake of leaving this drive plugged into my PC when I powered it down, the next time I turned it on it sat at the BIOS boot logo for the entire 45 seconds, waiting to enumerate the drive before proceeding with booting from my NVMe drive! So I have to make sure to unplug it when I’m not using it. This is fine for me, since I’m mainly using it to offload DVD and Blu-ray ISOs and MKV files dumped from them, but if you want this to be a daily workhorse you’d better ensure it’s set up to never spin down or you will get very impatient with it.

Massive Storage, Super Reliable – Perfect for Backups!
The Seagate Expansion 24TB is an absolute powerhouse! If you need serious storage for backups, this is the one. Setup was quick and easy with USB 3.0, and the transfer speeds are solid for such a huge drive.I mainly use it for backing up large media files and important work data, and it gives me peace of mind knowing it comes with Rescue Data Recovery Service. That’s a big plus for something this size. The build feels sturdy, it runs quietly, and 24TB means I won’t be worrying about space anytime soon. If you need a reliable, high-capacity external drive, this is a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

Fast for HDD, great price/TB, compact & portable, durable
Very pleased with this external hard drive. The USB 3.0 interface is nice a quick, though the drive itself is limited in data transfer speed since it is not an SSD (they are typically 5x faster or more). Not a big deal though since the price/TB is so much better for this HDD. My first task was to transfer 1.2GB from an SSD and it took about 3 hours to write (at about 120MB/sec). I’m a big fan of Seagate drives, been using them for years, and I’m confident the lifespan will be excellent. The drive is totally silent and super compact, very portable. Great value at this price, definitely recommend!

What i like about this HDD is the stable transfer speed with power supply unlike other that are unstable transfer speed. Got few TB of data transferred at ease.Only thing that might be a down side is the sound created might be a nuisance but overall it works very well for my heavy data. Will be back if data exceed again!
