Hard to assemble but comfortable
I bought this chair and was very impressed with the material as I took it out of the box. However, this was the hardest chair to assemble that I ever had. The problem arose at the end of the process as the screws for the back just donât want to line up. Eventually, with my wife leaning hard on the back, we managed to do it. I really wanted to like this chair as it looks like a high end executive office chair and the leather is nice and shiny with fancy stitching and in a beautiful shade of brown. Alas, I am returning it because the back of the chair is two inches shorter than I am used to. As a result, when I lean back to read, my head has no support as the back only reaches my shoulders. I am six feel tall but with short legs and a large torso. Also, because of my particular build, the top of the back seemed to push my shoulders forward when sitting upright, which becomes uncomfortable. I still gave the chair 5 stars, it just didnât fit my body. Beautiful chair though.

This Chair Comes in PIECES!!!!!!!…And You’re NOt Told Up Front!
I was so anxious to receive my beautiful, comfortable, leather office chair, but it arrived in PIECES!! I could not believe it. There is no way in hell I could put anything like that together. It was like a box of tinker toys or something. Luckily my neighbor saw it and volunteered to put it together for me, because I was definitely going to send the chair BACK!I actually didn’t think he’d be able to do it, but he did put it together and it looked just like it did in the photo. I’m not putting the photo up because I’m still pissed off about not being told I would have to put the chair together MYSELF. But, it’s comfortable, looks good, and it rotates around so you don’t have to keep moving the chair when you want to get up from your desk. I highly recommend this chair IF you can put it together YOURSELF.

If only I had the instructions when I started.
Very comfortable once I assembled it. Finding the instruction for that was not easy. I thought there were none until I found them in the cushion when I got to that part while already assembling sans instructions. Also the screws into the cushion were difficult to get inserted and screwed in. Finally figured out that putting the chair on its side made it easier. Once assembled, it was beautiful and all that I had hoped it would be.

Comfortably firm with good support
The chair is very nice and appealing. The cushions are firm, but not too firm. I don’t like a cushion that you sink down into and have them only get worse as time goes on. This is not as high back as I thought, but then again, I am at the office and can’t be lounging around. The chair has good height settings. The entire seat does lean back & forth, not just the back itself which is not an issue as I am not going to be reclining during work. Adjustable tension on the lean back function is nice and I can adjust it so I have to put some effort into leaning back and just just winding back when I least expect it.Be very careful screwing the back rest to the side rails. Make sure you have the side rails really lose so you have room to work with and DO NOT STRIP THE THREADS while getting the screws started.

Manufacturing Defects
I loved this chair. I purchased it because Serta has a good reputation. I also purchased because I’m in school and I have large books that I put on a pillow when I’m doing homework. I also use an addition cushion and back support. This is why I wanted a big comfy chair. I weigh less than half of the 350 lbs it stated to support. I had the chair for over a year when a piece inside that attaches the left arm of the chair to the base sheared off. This was a manufacturing issue. The company that handles support issues for Serta got back to me immediately. The requested pictures and a receipt. They then sent me a chair that was nothing like the one I ordered, it does hold the same weight, but it must have been the cheapest one they had laying around and it was missing screws. I would buy another to replace because it was perfect. However, if they can’t replace chairs that have severe manufacturing defects with equivalents, I will not do business with them. Also, it does not recline very much.

Excellent Office Chair – Great Value
I bought this chair for my home desk, to replace a chair that has become increasingly uncomfortable over the years. I didn’t know Serta made office chairs, but figured I’d take a chance on their reputation to see if it carries over to this type of furniture. Good call! The chair arrived nearly a week late, but it did arrive with the packaging in good condition. All parts were included & clearly identified. The assembly was seamless & probably took about 10 minutes. Every piece fit per assembly instructions & the finished product is both attractive & extremely comfortable. I am 6′ 2″, 245 lbs & the chair handles my dimensions admirably. I have been using it for about a month now & am very satisfied. I think this is an excellent investment & recommend it highly.

Office chair not petite or tall friendly
Definitely not what I expected. I am 5â1â and the back is too low for me which is shocking. It is not high back. The headrest sits below my neck, where my shoulders are. The lower back of the chair has no cushioning so your back is in a terrible position. Imagine no lower back support and your upper back is pushed forward from the headrest. I am very surprised at how poorly this is constructed and sold as because my old Serra chair was perfect. The back does not recline. Itâs the whole chair that reclines. The only good thing about it is the seat cushion is comfortable. I donât know what they were thinking when designing this

Lo único que le faltarÃa es que fuera mas fácil ensamblar el respaldo a los laterales, eso me costo mucho trabajo y que se pudiera alzar un poco mas. por lo demás es una silla bastante cómoda si necesitas estar frente al PC todo el dÃa

nice looking, built is good, if your near 6′ or 200lb your gonna regret the buy.no complaints about the chair…if i was 5’5 – 5’9 and less that 200lbs.looks great, rolls TOO easily on my hard wood.Seat cushion addition fixes the cushion issue, but with my shoulders hitting at the big upper pad it causes a completely slouched position for the rest of my back,the only way to sit comfortably is to put a pad above the lumbar below the ..Neck pillow?again, this is an awareness review for us taller folks

The package arrived opened, the assembly instructions were not detailed enough, the parts didn’t fit easily together, and the screws have a tendency to strip. The finished result isn’t even comfortable, and I’m worried the bonded leather will deteriorate and peel like my last Serta chair … and this will be my last.

La verdad es que por el precio de la silla no me puedo quejar, los materiales (aunque no es piel real) parecen ser de buena calidad, los terminados metálicos también lucen bastante bien. En cuanto a comodidad podrÃa mejorar un poco, la silla no cuenta con respaldo y es necesario realizar un esfuerzo considerable para lograr que se recargué hacÃa atrás (tiene una palanca especial para esta función, aunque en sà el asiento no es reclinable, se reclina la silla entera). Posiblemente sea más eficiente para personas con una estatura superior al promedio mexicano, yo mido 1.72 y me parece un tanto grande, más sin embargo he estado sentado en ella por largos periodos de tiempo y es bastante cómoda.
