【SPECIAL Electronic Stethoscope】This automotive stethoscope kit is specially designed and developed for checking abnormal noise of car engine, abnormal noise of body, and abnormal noise of chassis, etc. The host computer with integrated six-channel signal receiver is used with six different sensors to detect abnormal noise during the driving of the car, synchronized with sound and light, which can easily identify the early problems of the car and facilitate car repair as soon as possible.
【SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT】Chassis Ears with Indicator light sensitivity adjustment: Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity and rotate counterclockwise to reduce sensitivity, the range displayed by the indicator light changes with the adjustment of the sensitivity; Sound sensitivity adjustment: Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity, this is the range of adjusting the sensor’s Income tone.
【ABNORMAL SOUND INDICATOR LIGHT】The Automotive Stethoscope onsists of three colors: green, yellow, and red. The color changes are determined by the detected volume. The minimum volume is green and the maximum is red. The abnormal noise of the six channels can be shown at the same time through the six rows of indicator lights. By adjusting the light sensitivity knob, the indicator can be used to assist in judging the location of the anomalous noise.
【MAIN APPLICATION】Mechanics Stethoscope with Six-channel car noise finder is a portable device that can be used to detect bearings, gears and suspension systems, and automatic transmission system, detect abnormal sound of fuel injection system, abnormal sound of chassis system, abnormal noise under the hood, quickly find out the noise source and its location, accurately locate the fault.
【CONFIGURATION LIST】The package includes 1 * detector host, 6 * clip-on sensors (Abnormal noise information can be detected at six different locations at the same time), 1 * headphone (Simple and comfortable, the volume can be adjusted at will), 3 * 3M sensor extension cables, 3 * 5M sensor extension cables. If you have any problems during use, please feel free to contact us.
Customers say
Customers find the stethoscope works well, with one mentioning it saved them from pulling their transmission. The noise level receives mixed feedback, with some customers noting it picks up extra sounds.

Good decent product
I have used this on on numerous occasions. The only downside are the wires.

Works great
Saved me from pulling my transmission. I was able to isolate the noise from the starter. Had my car back on the road in an hour.

Works very well!
I have had these for a bit now and they work very well, just be sure to clamp them in lesser wind direct spots they are quite sensitive and will be noisy to wind.

Excelente
Lo usamos y realmente nos facilita encontrar donde está la falla. Facil de usar.

Essential noise locator
I had the hardest time to figure out the horriblenoise from my old Corolla. At first I thought it was my transmission making the noise, but with the tool, I was able to pin point the noise to my CV axles. The only complaint I have is the dial on the device is a bit off. Each dial is about one channel off the displayed listening channel, but aside from that, the device works as intended

Really useful tool.
This actually worked very well for me in locating a front suspension noise that I’ve been chasing for nearly two weeks. Some days it sounded like it was coming from the front of the car, and other times from the back, but with these mics I could immediately tell the noise was at the front. I then moved the mics around to the shocks, control arms, tie rods etc. and pinpointed the upper shock mount as the source of my rattle. If I’d bought this kit earlier it would have saved me replacing ball joints, wheel bearings and lower shock mounts trying to find the problem. I removed one star because the headphones provided in the kit were dead. I had another set of phones so I didn’t really need them anyway, but QC should have caught this at the factory.

Very cool instrument. You can listen to up to six locations on your car at one time. For example, if you hear a rough noise from the back somewhere, just clip a microphone next to each rear wheel bearing, and one at the differential, and you can quickly isolate the source. You listen with headphones while driving, and switch through the channels to hear each individual location. The LED sound level bar graphs help a lot. The microphone clips are very strong. The leads are generously long. The whole thing feels slightly cheaply made, but it is well worth the price. If I had this sooner, I would have saved myself some unnecessary repairs.Great for cars, of course, but it would probably be useful for listening for other problems, like furnace blower, etc.

Excellent for mechanics garage or home owner This kit is wired 3 long 3 short clips. The device is very easy to use Read the manual first!what I did was colored both ends with electrical tape red yellow blue green etc.its more easy to remember where the clips were placed. Please Note!! before you go driving around make sure you check laws before wearing head phones you might get you a ticket or fine but I recommend testing in a empty parking lot off public streets depending on your use. My Friends actually warned me before I was heading out. thanks guys lolThe head phones provided are ok but I found a small ear buds work betterkit worked for me and I’m happy I bought this.

The tool itself with its different components are of decent quality. They are made in china and made of plastic mostly except for the 6 clips that attach to the vehicle, they are similar to a battery charger clip and surprisingly have a fairly good spring strength to hold onto the part you clamp it to.It comes with 6 clamps, 6 extension wires, 3 longer and 3 a bit shorter for reaching different areas of your vehicle. It comes with the main control unit that requires 4 AAA batteries (not included) and a pair of earphones that are of the cheaper end of the spectrum but can be swapped out if you prefer to use a different set of earphones or when the pair they sent stops working. Finally it comes packed in a semi rigid fabric case to keep everything together and prevent parts getting lost.I have yet to try it on my vehicle but did try it to be sure it worked and with the ability to adjust the sensitivity and volume, I was actually surprised by how well it picks up sounds. The added feature of having the led lights for each of the 6 channels helps a lot by giving you a visual indication of the amount of noise coming from each individual location. Going from green to amber to red as noise increases.Overall this is a great idea and solution to the issue of noise only heard while driving, and if looked after and not hard on the components when using it, it should last a reasonable amount of time.If it came right down to it, I think the individual parts can be replaced if they were to get lost or damaged.

Been chasing a snapping sound from the front end of my jeep.. I tried the stethoscope first.. replaced for at least 2000$ in parts and was about to replace both cv axles front diff and drive shaft lol ð I spent maybe 2 hours clamping to different parts and moving the steering wheel. It was a friking an outer tie rod end from napa (no grease fitting, I used a middle adapter and shot a bunch of grease.. noise is gone.. so done with napa!!!)Ps : I used colored tape to know what clamp is on what channel. If you have a jeep this tool is a must, with all the noises the stealerships “can’t” fix because it’s “normal”. I’ve been around for a while and never found a good and honest mechanic so I rather do the work myself.

I bought the one made by Steelman. It was more than 500 bucks. The probes failed and I could no longer use the tool. This one cost a fraction of the amount and works better!Excellent product!
