Great little drill press.
I am a hobbyist, not a professional woodworker. I would absolutely recommend this drill press to anyone in a similar situation.Easy to assemble, dead on accuracy (once you get the lasers dialed in), no wobble (once you bolt it down). So far, Iâve used it for softwoods, hardwoods, aluminum, and mild steel. It absolutely meets my needs. 10/10 would recommend.

Skil Tabletop Drill Press
First let me say that the reviewers that say there’s wobbling when operating the press did something incorrectly when putting this unit together. This thing is rock solid and smooth. I am very impressed. I’ve used standing units that aren’t this nice. The only design flaw that I can see is the way the laser adjustment works. It’s a little tricky and because it’s a set screw, I’m sure that it will have to be adjusted periodically. For the price point this is an awesome unit. Clear win for Skil. I’m also going to put in a lever screw to adjust the table tilt so I don’t have to use a wrench. All in all an A+.

Great drill press, love the light and laser features. Lighter weight for easy moving. But difficult to adjust the belt but that may be on me. Loving this drill press. I recommend for those looking for table top one.

Don’t buy this drill press
It’s trash. The table won’t ever tighten enough to stay stable. The worm drive is sub-par at best. Motor sounds like it’s about to blow on the first usage. The most annoying part: the depth stoppers won’t stay in place for more than one drill plunge- what’s even the point?! I had high hopes for the press based off of all the positive reviews, so I definitely feel pretty disappointed. I’ve had other Skil products that functioned properly, I don’t know why the ball got dropped with this one.Consider yourself warned.Update- cheap plastic collar broke. Belt would slip regularly with no way to adjust tension. Pulley wheels are plastic and add to the slippage. Harbor Freight has a slightly better one than this (still has a terrible plastic collar) for about 50 bucks cheaper, it’s been doing okay. This Skil drill press didn’t even last 2 days with me.

Me encantó el taladro. Muy buena calidad, tamaño y potencia y a un muy buen precio. Mucho mejor que otros de otras marcas de 10″, mas barato, mas potencia y mejor calidad. Muy sorprendido por la calidad de Skill.
