Still slides off head (update added)
Iâm a longtime Skullcandy Crusher headphones consumer. Always love their bass boost and sound. The only issues Iâve had is it slides of my head during workouts, whether itâs bench or standing, bent over exercises. When I saw these made especially for active lifestyles I was excited to try them. Put to the test, bent over stretch they fell down to my eyes, RDLâs, tricep kick backs theyâre falling off just like the others. To me, the bass isnât as booming as the other ones Iâve had in the past. It reminds me of the Bose sound, much clearer less bass. I prefer more bass. I may return these and just get the other model Iâm used to. Another thing is the fabric covers for the ear pads get wet and soggy. So if you take them off for a couple mins after sweating and put them back on they are cold and wet. Iâm not sure if because of my hairstyle they fall off easier. Iâm a female and wear my hair in slicked down military styles, pony tails, etc. I tighten the headphones as much as possible but they still fall off. Thereâs also the app to connect to the equalizer but mine never completes the set up. It just says error.I ended up returning these and bought the Evo. Much better sound and bass! While the Evo still slides I prefer the sound. I found a headband zippered cover and that seems to keep it on my head better with that added fabric.

CRUSHER EVO + ACTIVE = 540
Being Active with the Crusher EVO had cons such as ears getting sweaty, hot, and irritated. The Crusher 540 Active Headphones are the answer that gracefully fell from SkullCandy Heaven.

Insanityyyy MUST BUY!
The build quality, feel and most importantly the sound specifically the sensory bass is by far the most bass heavy headphone/earbud I have ever heard. And all of that for 120$ is crazy. My new gym headphones without a doubt.

Great for Bass Lovers… And Bass Haters!
When it comes to audio devices, I’m a pretty difficult customer, particularly with headphones. It’s rare that I find a pair that I’m comfortable for wearing for more than an hour, and even then, I tend to find them cumbersome or difficult to use with glasses. But my biggest oddity is that I don’t like bass… it’s a strange sensory sensitivity quirk! So it’s kind of surprising to get a pair of bass-featuring “Crusher” headphones and say… I really really like these things! The reason these work so well for my specific needs comes down to that little sliding knob on the side. If you crank that thing to the top, you get the earthquake in your ears that everyone seems to love. But if you take it down to near (or even completely) at the bottom, you get something you don’t normally get with premium headphones: high quality audio, minus bass. And it is high quality! I’m by no means an audiophile, but these sound ridiculously good, no matter what I’m doing (I tried them with music, videos, and games). But the positives don’t stop there. As I mentioned, comfort is usually an issue with headphones, and though I still think I’d have trouble wearing these for hours on end (particularly on a hot day), they’re definitely on the high end comfort-wise. I don’t know what material they used on the ear padding, but it’s incredibly soft, almost like wearing a really really good quality T-shirt against your ears, with plenty of padding. I still felt a bit of pressure on my pierced earlobe which was a bit unpleasant (they aren’t large enough to encase my ears entirely), but they fit better than most with my glasses. They have a large range of adjustment, as well, and I think the little grove at the top of the head padding is something a lot of headphones miss, as it takes pressure off of the most tender part of the skull. In terms of connectivity, these do fall victim to my least favorite technology: Bluetooth. There was no issues with the connection, and they synced easily to multiple different kinds of devices. But Bluetooth will always have audio delays, particularly if you’re doing something like gaming. I know these aren’t marketed as gaming headphones, but it’s still a shame that it doesn’t have the option for 2.4 wireless. However, what it does have is a perfectly functional 3.5 audio jack and, to my surprise, it had no audio hiss that I’ve experienced even with more expensive wire-optional headphones. So, as long as wireless isn’t a must, these do function perfectly well for gaming, as well. Since I’ve only used them lightly, the battery life hasn’t been an issue, but it seems like they’re built to reach the claimed 40 hour lifespan. The only drawback is that they lack ANC, which would have really put them over the top (though as I write this, I just realized they sell a version that has that!). But, overall, they absolutely seem worth the price, and they’re an easy recommendation for me and my unusual tastes!

Secure fit is not secure at all
The only complaint I have on these is the fit. I bought them to work out withâ¦run, lift weights, etcâ¦and the second I lay down or lower my head to do a specific exercise the headphones slide right off every time. Everything else is great about then I just wish they clamped better.
