Simple, effective, quality, looks nice.
3 Month update. After using it for 3 months I still stand by product as a nice clean vessel to keep pet waste in. although I do have some design changes.1st make the lid snap shut or use some type of magnetic closure because the wind does blow my lid open pretty frequently. I am going to secure a heavy galvanized washer to the underside of the lid and that will solve the problem of me finding it open from the wind.2nd add some drainage holes in the bottom. I did that to mine because even with a bag on it wrapped down the sides and a rubber band securing it water finds a way in because the lid doesnât latch and it blows open. So even with a bag in there I have had water in the container. I drilled a couple small holes and that at least allows it to drain water. If you donât use bags do not drill any holes otherwise the combo of water and pet waste would be a mess. I use bags and water was finding a way in because no matter what type of bag you use you cannot get the bagDown the back side of the container becauseOf the lid hinge. So the bag will bunch up at the back and water will get in.This is really the most ideal vessel to hold dog waste in. I have had small garbage cans, no matter what they will fill with water. I was considering using a plastic mailbox mounted on a post ( was in my cart) and then I seen this. I ordered the twin pack and gave one to my son. We both have Miniature Australian Shepherds. This is perfect. Was easy to mount. I am using check out bags from my local box box hardware store. They are sturdy. The handles fit perfectly down the sides and wrap around. I might use a large rubber band but so far this is holding the bag down nicely. I will say this is on the smaller size ideal for a small dog or really for smaller bags of dog waste to the garbage. Even if it fills Iâll tie off the bag and replace it with another. The lid however is too light and wind will blow it open allowing rain water to get in. The holder has a plastic tabs on the back with slits cut in it to slide over 2 screws. I tightened mine down and this is securely tightened to the fence but I couldStill pull it off the screws to remove and clean it. This really is an excellent idea and am glad I found this. I expect it will hold up to weather with no problems.

Excellent product, great for our planet!
Exactly what I was looking for! Perfect size…hooks over the trash bucket in my pull-out cabinet. It feels good doing one’s small part via composting. This product makes its very convenient. Bravo!

6mo review, wind: 1, hinges: 0
6mo in and the plastic hinge on the lid has broken off. In fairness, not from repeated use but container was sitting on top of my recycling bin as the garbage can was out by the street for pickup and I assume wind caught it as I found it lying on the ground next to the can after falling about 3ft. Think more material in the hinge would be better. Overall, would buy again

Compact, convenient, and cost effective!
I’ve just started composting. I have a small kitchen with limited counter and cabinet space, and was attracted to this because it hooks onto the back of a trash can. I was worried that it would get in the way – but it doesn’t! I can remove it easily when I’m cooking or cleaning plates, and then store it out of the way until it’s time to empty. Recommend buying small compostable liner bags along with it. Great job, RecyclingRules.org!

Hanger not wide enough for large garbage bins
I had to return this item. It won’t hang on my garbage barrel since its rim is too wide for the hanging bracket. It would have been really nice to be able to adjust the bracket width.

It was what I wanted and good for the price. I put two nails on my garden fence and it just slips nicely onto them and I can lift it off for emptying- very easy to use. It’s not water tight so i do sometimes find gross liquid in the bottom. I don’t like the american term ‘poop’- I’d rather it say poo!My council doesnt give general waste bins and i didn’t want to use the kitchen bin for obvious reasons! Its about the right size: my dog mostly goes to the toilet on walks but i use this to put the ones in the garden in and it fits about a week or two’s worth.
Very small & arrived with no lid. –

Great bin, we clip over dog pen/run. Only down side is it opened in strong wind. Could do with better clip to close but still brilliant.
