Decent value and gentle bristles, but maybe not so great for a primary toothbrush
I’ve purchased a toothbrush with these type of bristles before. I’ve seen the feeling described as “like brushing your teeth with a sweater”, and I’d say that tracks. These type of brushes have smaller and softer bristles than even an “extra soft” brush due to the volume and density of the bristles.There is an outer box that contains all 10 brushes, and inside there are 5 boxes with 2 brushes each. All brushes have bamboo handles, but each box contains 1 brush with dark gray bristles, and 1 with white bristles. It’s odd to me to have 2 brushes per box, but here we are. The handle size is long enough for adults, and fits comfortably in the hand. The bristles are incredibly soft. As a former gum surgery patient, I found this type of brush to be especially handy to have post-surgery when I needed to brush but didn’t want to irritate my surgery site.The aesthetic of the brushes is very “earthy” and in fact they claim to be eco-friendly and the handles biodegradable. This is not a claim I can vouch for, so you can take these claims at your own thought. The box of 10 is $12.99 at the time of this review, which is a pretty good value for toothbrushes.I will keep a couple of these brushes in my bathroom for when I need a “sweater-gentle clean”, but I’ll stash the rest of them in the linen closet to use in my guest toiletry basket.

Bristles are too compacted
I like the handle feel on these but I didn’t care for the bristles. The bristles are so compacted that they don’t splay out around the tooth to get into all of the crevices.You get one white, firm bristled brush, and one grey, soft bristled brush, in each pack and there are 5 packs per box. The firm bristled brush was uncomfortable on my gums; it felt like scratching. The soft bristled brush felt fine but because of the very compacted bristles it’s almost like you are rubbing a solid sponge type object across your teeth instead of bristles that are “brushing” your teeth. In that case the bristles themselves weren’t necessarily uncomfortable, but it felt like I was rubbing a hard/solid thing over my teeth, like if I were rubbing a marble across them; something solid just bumping across my teeth. I hope I am getting across how this feels.Now the handles are great. They feel good in hand, they are smooth, and they look nice. Too bad the brush wasn’t as good.

HARDLY FEEL A THING
I’m really shocked at how gentle these bristles are on my gums! I’ve always used soft toothbrushes but the difference is night and day– these make them seem hard by comparison.They do get some being used to. The bristles don’t flex like regular toothbrush bristles do because they are so densely packed together. This results in a clunkiness when using it. It’s almost like there is a solid piece rather than thousands of individual filaments. I also think the brush should taper toward the top end to better teach around the back teeth, again due to the lack of flex in the bristles Perhaps a longer rectangular shape may mitigate that. TrussvilleWhen brushing up and down or in a circular motion, it’s less noticeable but back and forth feels like it takes more time to complete to get s good clean feeling sense the friction doesn’t really register. So for me, using this brig takes a bit more time just for myn own sense of mind but not getting any discomfort whatsoever on my usually sensitive gums is well worth the extra 30 seconds or so. These are definitely eco- friendly and I love the look and feel of bamboo. The rounded end looks nice and sleek but some may prefer it to be flat instead if they want to stand the brush up. All in all a nice set of brushes.
