A Humbling Experience
I’m a gamer and I ALWAYS use wired gaming mice and specifically Logitech. I figured I would give this a go. Pulling it out of the box I was instantly disappointed by how light it felt. I play FPS games and I play with some weight to the mouse I typically use and I use weights when possible. Nonetheless I gave it a go. First of all, I appreciated the various way to use this mouse; It can be wired via the included USB-C chord and while it’s plugged, it is charging/charged for wireless. It can also be used wireless with an included USB adapter that is tucked away in the bottom of the mouse. Thirdly it can be wireless via blue tooth. I tried all 3 methods and they all work perfectly, can’t tell difference.Even though it was too light for my liking, I still decided to give it a go. I fired up the latest Call of Duty and jumped into multiplayer. Surprisingly the lightness of the mouse quickly became unnoticeable. It felt natural in my hands and reacted well to my movements.Truth be told, there was absolutely no negative impact from the lack of weight. My scores on COD were pretty much the same in multiplayer. This tells me that I’m probably not as good as I thought I was because there was no difference with inferior hardware (i.e. wireless versus high performance wired), so the weak link is me and not the mouse – quite humbling. The good thing is this wireless mouse is actually quite good for FPS gaming, I have no negatives in terms of gaming. The battery lasts long, it hasn’t died on me yet, although I charge it at the end of a week or so. There are several DPI settings, similar to my wired gaming mouse and connecting from any of the 3 methods is very straight forward, no software required.I like this mouse so much that I stopped using my wired mouse and been using this ever since as my primary mouse. Don’t let the weight of it fool you, it is everything as good as a wired gaming mouse and I can’t recommend this enough.
