I wanted to organize and declutter the stacks of paper that were collecting on my desk after the death of my husband. So much legal stuff, new Medicare info since I now needed to be on SSA and Medicare, and also the insurance papers, medical bills, and so on. Now they are neatly organized and easy to access.This is not the permanent home for most of the documents; they will end up in my fireproof filing cabinet, but that is in the basement, and my desk is not. This was the perfect solution, and it can be repurposed in the future if my needs change for temporary document storage.

Good organizational find
Iâve only just received these expandable file folders but they seem to work really well so far. They hold a lot of papers and I love how expandable the top and closure is so you can fit quite a bit. There are 13 files but only 12 with labels but thatâs okay for me. I knocked off one star for quality because it did rip a divider a little bit when I was trying to put everything I needed inside of it. But honestly, I was probably overdoing it so Iâm not that mad at it. I still think it was a great organizational buy.

It Works, But… Needs Notable Improvements
This works for what it’s intended. However, that being said, it could be beefed up a bit in the following ways:- The plastic dividers are very flimsy, and could be a bit stronger. They wobble and flex far too easily to organize as well as it could, and seem quite weak at the edges, where the dividers are connected to the main shell.- As others have described, the main case should be another inch or so taller, as even standard letter-sized documents completely block the tabs. Can you still see what’s in each one if you pull the sections apart? Sure, but who wants to make it harder on themselves, it’s supposed to make organization easier.Overall, it’s fine and I’ll try to see how it goes, but I have a feeling I’m going to be having to replace this as the contents grow. The organizer itself may be an accordion theme, but overall, it feels like it needs to be stronger and a bit larger to be as effective as it could be.
