Customers say
Customers find this tape measure to be the best in the world, with clear readability and excellent performance. However, the durability receives mixed feedback – while some find it very durable, others report the tape tearing during normal use. Moreover, the magnet strength is criticized as not being strong enough, and the retraction mechanism is problematic as it stops retracting. Additionally, opinions on value for money are divided, with some saying it’s worth the price while others disagree.

Better than the FatMax!
I bought this tape to replace my 35ft Stanley FatMax Classic which had survived a few too many falls off of the roof. I’m a framer and high visibility of this tape is awesome. I’m able to get a longer stick-out with this tape than the FatMax. For the price I would definitely recommend. The spring is was stronger than Stanley or Milwaukee tapes and retracts every time. I also love that its double sided.

Great build quality
Itâs been nearly a year of daily use and abuse, drops from ladders, fast roll ups etc. and it still works great!

Reliable, Always Returns
I was looking for something different other than Dewalt and Milwaukee because I wanted to buy from someone that wasn’t already making millions a year because of their early entry to the construction industry.I’m a journeyman Commercial carpenter who uses a tape measure all day every day and I needed something to be quick and durable. The blade of the tape being the biggest issue with Tapes. Dewalt tapes tend to crack within 3-4 months of heavy use and I hate having to spend $30 for them 3-4 times a year to go out so quick. This tape lasted me 5 months until I got a tiny crack near the 4 inch mark on mine. I’ve been installing ACT grid so I’m bending it in the short position a lot for borders and such. I digress. The structure of the tape measure has been consistent other than the thin rubber coating peeling off as time has gone on, but thats not anything that really impacts it’s function.Right away I noticed – when I first started using it- I was working with plywood, and the wood dust/shavings someonhow made their way in between the clear film and the actual metal tape. So there’s about an 1 of measurements that I can’t see because of it building up in there. The tape also tended to start bending a certain way, so sometimes when I would lift it, it would instantly bend because of how it was forming one way over the other. Which this also made it difficult to use on walls to measure elevations. Since the bottom would be spinning out, you were prone to making minor errors in your measurements. The magnet could be a little stronger in my opinion. Constantly working with metal pieces or grid and metal stuff framing makes a magnet very valuable and time saving in my opinion so a good strong magnet is important me. This one gets the job done, but sometimes it’s weak in certain scenarios. Not bad at all, just not as strong as Dewalts for sure – but better than Milwaukee’sOver all I do love this tape. Although the new one I most recently bought has a 1/16 or so fold on the blade and is already making it bend a weird way. Must’ve been a production malfunction and I got unlucky. But the tape is good. Would last a VERY long time for people just looking for a tape measure for around the house/property. And I mean – it lasted ME 5 months and I use a tape about 2.5 hours total time used out of a 8-10 hour day.I forgot to mention that this tape will always snap back. It’s has actually sliced me a few times at how hard it will be back. Over 12 feet and you let that thing rip and if you don’t absorb the return it will recoil and wrap around your hand. Careful. I’m a professional, but even I get carried away haha! The pictures I posted were about 3-4 months ago after I had bought it – so like March-April ish.Hope this helped everyone. 🙂

It is too thin and flimsy. Too expensive
The worst tape measure I’ve ever used. I got a few uses out of it before it snapped. This tape measure is fine if you want to measure something under 10′ after that…good luck. It is way too thin to measure more than that. $35 for this thing? Don’t do it. They should be ashamed trying to put veteran anything on this. As a vet I’m pissed at the crap

High Quality
I was tired of buying tapes that were name brand and still would come off the spring or split before their time. I spent a little more for this but I wanted the 35ft length and a tape that will last. I am impressed with the construction of it, feels very durable. It does everything well so far and if I do not lose it I anticipate that it will last a good long time. I have dropped it a few times from low heights onto pavement and it didnât even scratch it. Retracts fast and easy and the clip is very strong. Blade has a coating on the last 10in or so like other quality tapes. All around it seems to be high quality. I recommend it! Weight is a little heavier than others but I think it may be due to the thick materials that make it durable. Lock works very well and releases easier than many others even with it having a very strong hold on the blade.

Doesn’t measure up.
The tape is easy to read. The tape housing seems very sturdy. The tape is flimsy. I’m working outside and there’s a slight breeze, the tape flops. There’s also a bit too much spring tension for being able to throw the tape out to a good distance. I love supporting great causes but can’t get behind this product. The other tools from this brand that I have are great.

Best tape Iâve used so far I like the options for fractional and magnetic tip. Very durable

Good sturdy tape measure

14 1/2 foot standout, used for the first time today and by far the best tape measure I have ever had.

Well-ish made except it doesn’t stay uniform but twists when extended beyond 8 or 9 feet. Don’t bother. There are better tape measures with reverable sides and with both imperial (SAE) and metric measurements. Klein tools does a good 7m just like that.

Iâve been using the measuring tape while rebuilding my deck. I can read the numbers well which is good considering my fading eyesight! The recoil is excellent, so much that Iâve snapped my fingers a couple of times but at least Iâm not having to feed it back in.As a Veteran, I personally appreciate that 3% of each purchase is donated back to us, Veterans!
