Best All-in-One Gym Replaces Many Machines and has Eccentric Weight and Works Offline. See thread..
This replaces an entire dumbbell rack, a C2/Rogue rower, cable machine, squat rack, etc. I use this mainly in offline mode to do HIIT weight training and cardio. I use the eccentric mode setting to ensure I get maximim gains in the least amount of time. I row daily in the free weight barbell mode with 95 lbs. concentric/130 lbs. eccentric. I use a wrist-mounted, universal interval timer (Gym Boss+) which has a combined tone and vibrate mode, and mainly use it for rowing in offline, free-weight mode. Sprint interval training rowing of 20 sec work and 10 sec rest for 7.5 min is the most efficient cardio workout. Any more than that and you wear your body out with free radicals and more stress on joints/etc.For squats, I use the belt squat attachment, since traditional barbell squats place unnecessary stress on the spine and increase CNS fatigue. The belt squat helps to avoid spinal injuries and combined with a good set of stable squat shoes (.75″ incline, TPU heel, etc.), you can avoid knee injuries. Be sure to remove the platform cushioning pad to have the most stable platform as possible for squats (most squat platforms have hardwood on them to avoid any lateral movement in knees when lifting heavy). Belt squat machines are replacing reg. squat ones because they’re safer and more effective. Squat University has great info on form. Also, I use Versa Gripp straps to train harder so that my grip strength for the day doesn’t limit how heavy I can lift. This machine has silky smooth resistance. Watched some reviews that said this one has smoother resistance than the first model, so that’s why I went with the Gen 2.Some reviewers also said the Gen 2 cooling fans are quieter than the first model, so that’s another reason I went with the Gen 2. This machine is ultra silent, even when pulling full resistance. The overall sound level was another factor for me, so that’s why I went with digital weights. This has ridiculous resistance with minimal motor whine to do stealth cardio/lifting with shared walls, ceilings, and floors.I went with this, instead of the Beyond Power Voltra, because of how compact everything is and the unlimited power on tap w/out the need for batteries. The GM has a small footprint in storage mode and it’s very fast to set up and store to quickly knockout workouts. The Tonal requires a recurring membership and a permanant install, the Voltra requires a Power Rack (which takes up more space for similar GM features), and the other digital weight systems were either too underdeveloped or too large and made for commercial gyms.Since this is a precision, high-tech system (prob servo-like motors under the hood), be sure to use a quality surge protector/power conditioner to protect your investment and provide the smoothest resistance possible. For the 110 volt model, the manual says any voltage spike that reaches 260 volts can potentially damage the machine, so any lightning storm or power plant surges could potentially damage the machine. To ensure the machine never receives any surges and has the cleanest power possible, I recommend using a high-quality surge protector/conditioner that completely eliminates surges (SMP technology) and never wears out (doesn’t use MOV surge protection). The best surge protector with this high tech surge elimination tech (SMP) and power conditioning at a reasonable price is the Furman Power Conditioner (PST-8). Another thing is that since I’m feeding the machine ultra-clean, conditioned power, this could be why my resistance feels extra smooth. Similar to how unconditioned power can create noise in audio systems and affect the sound quality, the same electrical noise may likely affect how smoothly the motors operate. Also, since digital weights are new tech that’s still in the early adopter phase, expect there to be some issues that will eventually get worked out in updates/future models. During your workouts, use common sense and determine the level of risk you’re comfortable with based on your current setup. I’m considering developing a manual “spotter arms” system as a fail safe in the event of a software glitch, bluetooth spotters/controls disconnecting, etc (I’ll post my solution here later once I figure it out). All digital weight systems will have these similar issues though. And none of these home systems have the robust/redundant safety systems that you will find on airplanes. So the main thing is to use common sense, especially when you are lifting heavy.During heavy rows and similar exercises where a potential broken cable/attachment may hit your eyes, it makes sense to wear high-impact (ANSI Z87+) rated safety glasses. Accidents can happen and you only have one set of eyes. For example, the Liver King blinded himself in one eye when he snapped some resistance bands and they hit him in the eye. A great ANSI certified Z87.1-2020 (latest standard) with Z87+ (highest impact rating available) pair of safety glasses is the KleenGuard Maverick by Kimberly-Clark (established industrial brand and ANSI certified products). These are the best looking and certified Z87+ safety glasses I’ve found (w/clear or tinted sunglass lens options).Overall, I think this machine works great and provides more value than anything else currently. Speediance is the leader in the compact, complete-ownership, multi-machine home gym category. Eccentric weight is the future to accelerate gains and save time (auto extra weight on negative reps means you go at the same pace as the positive/concentric rep, instead of slowing down the negative rep with trad weights to make it harder), so this feature alone makes it worth it for me.It would be great to see a future Speediance model that has an even taller cable tower with a center cable mount and at least 400 lbs (similar to the Voltra that currently has 400lbs).

Best Home Workout Machine Without the Paywal
I chose Speediance over Tonal and Oxefit because I wanted to work out at home with full machine capabilities—without being locked into a monthly fee. While I’m now subscribed to their Wellness Plus program because I enjoy the guided workouts, I was able to use the machine effectively even before that. Portability is another plus! What really drew me in was avoiding the hassle of commuting to the gym, which in the past caused me to lose consistency after a few weeks. Since committing to Speediance, I’ve been able to stay on track for months. The workouts are well-structured yet fully customizable, allowing me to tailor each session and use the equipment in ways that suit me best. The smart resistance feels smooth but challenging, and their spotter mode gives me confidence and safety when lifting heavy.I also appreciate the gamification and regular events—they provide just the right motivation. Receiving physical medals for completed challenges is a great reminder of my progress and inspires me to keep going. Support has been fantastic, with quick responses through Facebook, and the community is friendly and welcoming. For convenience, flexibility, and motivation, Speediance has been one of my best health investments.

I didn’t realize I’d enjoy a smart home gym this much!
I’ve had my Gym Monster 2 (GM2) for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is that we love it! Going into this purchase, my mind was wrapped around the fact that we’d have the ability to do a bunch of different exercises without having a bunch of weights to lug around, and all with a small footprint. What I didn’t give nearly as much weight to in my purchase decision was the “smart” part of the gym and the content available from it. This I think is where things get really cool!On day one, I did some free weights. That was great. Given all the pivot points for the cable you can do a lot of different exercise (like other cable machines). The first time you experience the weight turning on is sort of (and still to this day) magical. Being able to quickly change the weights and select from standard, cable, eccentric or fixed speed modes is a great feature. Also being able to set a spotter is awesome. If you can’t finish the rep, the machine will start to lower the weight until you’re able to get it moving again! Then on day 2 I tried one of the daily workout routines. This was awesome. I was able to select a 30ish minute workout that targeted the group of muscles I was interested in that day. I didn’t have to think much after that. I was guided through various video workouts, some of the videos tell you things to watch out for in your technique, and you get instant feedback if you’re lifting uneven, not holding your rep long enough, etc. At the end of the workout, you get a report to show you how you did, and it stores it in your profile. No more having to remember how much weight you used last, when you last did a certain exercise, or charting your progress, etc. It’s all there.I’ve since added my own custom workout routines where I can select the individual exercises from the catalog and specify the reps, weight types, etc., and it’s all ready for me to go with the click of a few buttons on the screen. So, what’s next? I want to try a multiple day/week programs that are available within the platform. The other thing I really like is that my kids like to use it. The rule I have is that they can only do a guided workout if they pay attention to the form and what the personal trainer is saying. This is great because they can learn the correct techniques and not treat my GM2 as another one of their toys!Overall, we love this thing. So, what do I not like? The only thing I can really think of is related to how the workouts are filmed and recorded. There seems to be two types of videos recorded. One that has video with a dubbed over (computer generated?) voice, and another where the personal trainer is actually talking to you. They each have their own benefits. I like how the dubbed over audio videos will stop the playing vocal track when you have 3 reps left and tell you that you have 3 reps left. But the voice track in general seems very impersonable. In contrast, the videos where the personal trainer is talking to you seems more personable and genuine, I’d imagine like working with a real personal trainer to some degree. The only bad thing is it doesn’t tell you when you have those 3 reps left, but they do tell you good job at the end. It would be cool if they could somehow combine the two styles of filming so that you had the feedback of where you’re at with your workout without having to look at the screen.A couple other things, the Official Speediance Community Facebook group is great and has a lot of positive vibes going on. The other thing I think is cool is the different goals and challenges that are available in the app. I’m working on the 20 Day Resolution Ready 2025 Challenge in hopes of winning a physical gold badge! I have a completely different type of product where that company does similar challenges and ships you badges or awards. It’s a great after-purchase experience for customers. I hope Speediance continues this! The other goals awarded in the app are also nice milestones to celebrate the work you’ve put into your workouts.Again, I’ve owned the GM2 for two weeks, but I’m loving it. I’ve used it almost every day and I can already see a difference in the mirror and how I feel. I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring to my overall health.

    Missing items
The product itself is fine but some of the items in the box are missing (small items). They won’t send replacement items I have to pack up this heavy machine and send the whole thing back. I don’t recommend buying from here

I have had the Gym Monster 2 for a couple of months and I can say that I love this machine and it was a great investment. I have many physical impairments that limit what I can do with weight lifting but with the GM2, I am able to do more than I ever could with free weights and other machines. The fact that this machine lets me increase weight by just 1 pound at a time is very important because I can still improve my strength without having to increase weight by 2.5-5 pounds which sometimes is impossible for me.The fact that you can choose a preset program, design your own or just start lifting in free weight mode is another huge benefit. I actually enjoy my workouts and find I want to workout more now that I have the machine. This machine is definitely a game changer!!!

Exceptional Results in Just 8 Weeks – This Smart Home Gym Delivers! After 8 weeks of consistent use (3 days a week), I can confidently say the Speediance Gym Monster 2 has exceeded my expectations. Here’s my honest review:Real Results That Matter:The most important metric? I’ve achieved a 6% growth in my biceps in just 8 weeks! This isn’t just subjective – I’ve been measuring and tracking my progress. The magnetic resistance system really makes a difference in providing consistent, progressive overload that translates to actual muscle growth. What Makes Exercise Enjoyable Again:One of the biggest surprises has been how much I actually ‘enjoy’ working out now. The 21.5-inch touchscreen with guided workouts keeps me engaged, and the variety of exercises means I never get bored.Standout Features After 8 Weeks of Use:220lb magnetic resistance provides smooth, consistent tension throughout the entire range of motionSpace efficiency is incredible:This replaces an entire gym setup in my homeBluetooth ring makes setup safe and intuitiveWhy It Works So Well:The combination of strength training and cardio options keeps workouts varied and challenging. The machine adapts to your progress, automatically suggesting weight increases and new exercises. The post-workout reports help track progress scientifically, which motivated me to stay consistent.Minor Considerations:- Initial setup takes some time to learn all features- Price point is significant, but the results justify the investment – I was considering a PT and gym as an expensive alternative- The screen could be larger and there is a lot of clutter, but it’s perfectly functional- the new platform Adapters are keyBottom Line:If you’re looking for a complete home gym solution that delivers real results and makes working out genuinely enjoyable, the Gym Monster 2 is worth every penny. My 6% bicep growth in 8 weeks speaks for itself – this isn’t just fancy tech, it’s effective fitness equipment that works.Would I recommend it?Absolutely. It’s transformed my home workout experience and delivered measurable results faster than I expected.

Have been using Speediance GM2 for about 2 months. It is game changer for me. We have bought the GM 2 family plus (includes rowing bench)Quick SummaryInstallation- Easy. Delivered box is heavy (need to be careful there, need two people to move the delivered box). Also, check the power outlet requirements. How does magnetic weights feel like – Great (a little different from actual weights on few exercises) no complaints though. Very flexible on weight adjustments. Some exercises not so great (eg leg extension, just a minor thing).Rowing bench – love it. Even the inbuilt rowing programs are good.Bluetooth ring – Not perfect, still very good. Ring connectivity should be improved.Interface – user friendly and predictable .Mobile app – very good. Helps gamify your workout routines. Future improvements (if they keep coming) will only help make it better.Overall – it is awesome. A solid 9/10 for me (with intermediate level of strength training experience)
