Customers say
Customers find the chair solid and good value for money, with easy assembly and clear instructions. The back support receives mixed feedback – while some say it provides adequate support, others find it lacking. Customers disagree on the chair’s size, with some finding it perfect for petite people while others say it’s not suitable for tall individuals. The headrest receives criticism for being too low, and durability is a concern as some report the chair falling apart after a year. Comfort is also mixed, with some finding it comfortable enough for the price point while others disagree.

For the price, packaging, easy of assembly an easy 5 stars.
As always, I rate with price in mind and considering that price. Is this as comfortable and well built as a Herman Miller Aeron? No. But it also doesn’t cost 1200+ bucks. For like $1000 less, it’s pretty good. I found it was kind of difficult to find a mesh back AND bottom chair that wasn’t too crazily priced, so that’s what brought me to this char.- One of the best, if not best, packaged assemble-yourself furniture items I’ve ever dealt with. All pieces were wrapped very well to prevent damage. Due to their smart choice in box size in relation to the disassembled chair pieces, everything fit nicely in the box, came out nicely, was completely undamaged, AND I didn’t have like 2 trashbags full of styrofoam to toss like with most assembly required stuff.- Instructions were clear and correctly well written in English, without the usual sometimes laughable often times confusing instructions that usually seem to be translated by throwing darts at a board of random words you might find in a manual.-Nice touch was that each plastic pouch with the hardware had a card in it with the part ID and what instruction steps it’s used for. So you might have 4 bolts, and the card would have ‘A’ Step 3. And in the instructions you’d find step 3 and see the bolts ‘A’ needed. Amazing to see a company actually put a bit of effort into their instructions/assembly stuff. Also the only tool needed for assembly was the included Allen wrench.- It’s pretty comfortable for a just over 200 dollar chair. Armrests are adjustable up and down of course, and you do have some adjustment room width-wise by sliding them in and out before tightening the bolts underneath. It’s not a huge amount of adjustment, you can maybe add another 2 inches of space total max, and obviously it’s not a simple button/lever adjustment since you have to adjust the bolts. The same thing applies to the seat depth, the chair back can be assemble with a bit of room while tightening the bolts. Though you’re probably only getting an inch or so there. The lumbar support piece also has a bit of adjustment as well. The headrest only has one bolt position, but it has some adjustability with the pivot mount it has. The usual other adjustments of course too that you’d expect from an office chair: height, lock back in place, let back lean.- Great value for the price point, especially since there aren’t a whole lot of mesh back and bottom chairs out there down in this general price range.

Iâm exactly 5â4, and this chair fits just right
For starters, this chair is definitely easy to try out before you buy it at a nearby Staples location if youâre unsure. I did notice that Amazonâs price was slightly more affordable, though, and I had no issues with the delivery of the product through Amazon. I saw a few reviews here saying the chair had a smell upon arrival, but mine just barely had a ânew chairâ scent and was fine; that being said, I would probably open the packaging in a well-ventilated area to be sure.IF YOU ARE TALLER: the same brand also sells a very similar chair called the Dexley thatâs definitely more suited for taller people, and that was also just about as easy to try out in a store as this Hyken. At my height of 5â4 I genuinely think Iâm right at the perfect spot for the Hyken, any taller than about 5â6 might be pushing it for this chair so I would think the Dexley might be worth considering if youâre above that. Not a professional opinion, but my 6ft dad definitely wasnât comfortable for even a second in the Hyken, and when I tried the Dexley in store, it felt huge!!!Overall though, the chair assembly was pretty straight forward (thereâs plenty of videos on YouTube if you need help) and Iâve genuinely enjoyed the chair for about a week now, for both work and some reclined gaming time. I was initially considering more expensive brands like Haworth and Steelcase because I am doing much more at my desk than the average person, but honestly? For the price of this chair you may as well give it a shot before bothering with the more expensive brands. The adjustability and build quality is decent for the price and Iâve had no discomfort from the chair even after longer hours, and pieces like the arms and the headrest can easily be left off/removed as you see fit. Definitely worth a shot if youâre a shorter person.

Very Good Chair, but….
Bought this product a few days ago and now have had it for a few days now, so I can give a short review on it.So far its been a pretty good upgrade from my previous chair, and has been extremely comfortable to sit in, even after hours of use. The quality for the most part is very well done and the features on this chair are quite nice with the mesh padding and lumbar support, and I really enjoy being able to lean and tilt backwards when I want. Overall the sitting quality is a 5/5.As for what I somewhat disliked/am disappointed about with the chair, it would have to be build time and the headrest. Firstly, as a somewhat weaker person, as well as assembling it alone, it was a pain to put together. It took roughly 2 hours to finish the chair doing it alone, though that was mostly just putting the chair together. I would recommend getting someone else to help when it comes to building the chair as the positions can be quite awkward when twisting the screws into each part.As for the second part of what I was disappointed with, ultimately it was the headrest snapping off before a full day of use. Whether I twisted the screws on too tight or if it was not design for more than a pound or two of force, I’m not sure. Still it ended up snapping right off while testing the chair out on the first day, so be wary of that if you want to use it long term. Likely it was a combination of too much force and screwing it on way too tight, but it is not designed to take much force at all.Other than that, the instructions were practically perfect with the visual representations and everything else about the chair has been working in good order. It is quite compact too, so it can fit in smaller spaces which makes it a plus since I don’t have a lot of space in my room. The extra features with tilt control, height adjustments, lumbar support, and the armrests are exactly as advertised, so no problems there either.Pretty good chair for the price tag, with only a couple of issues at best.

Headrest:FIrst of all, the headrest is counterproductive. I know this is an ergonomic chair and it’s designed to make you sit straight but this feels like it might give me a hunch back. There’s also no way I can sit on this for more than 15 mins. When I work, I need to be comfortable enough to work for hours and this just frustrates me while I work.Seat lengthSecondly, I read some reviews about this before purchasing but didn’t think it was that big of a deal. But NOPE! I was dead ass wrong! The seat length is way too short!!!!!. It’s uncomfortably to short and I’m 5’10. Not sure if it was built like that intentionally or it was just built for a 5’5 person.Everything else is fine, but these 2 reasons break the deal for me!!!! I sold it to someone else as a result
