Gamechanger for watering my balcony garden.
This has made my life so much easier. I grow a lot of plants on my balcony and I don’t have a water outlet/hose on my balcony. I didn’t know if I wanted to spend $100+ dollars on something like this, but I couldn’t find any products similar to this one and this has been a gamechanger for me.At first glance, it did not look to me like it would actually fill 5 gallons of water, but it does! It is quite heavy, but not impossible to carry when full. The hose connection needs to be sturdily pressed in or else it will leak when turned on. Sometimes it will click in but still feel loose, that means it is not clicked in properly.The noise of the pump is very low and not bothersome at all. It will sound like its off if you’re not using the sprayer and the hose is full. I turned it on and off a couple times thinking it wasn’t working cause the noise stopped but it was working fine. The nozzle sprays pretty strongly, enough to wash off debris, or for a strong mist. I love the shower head to water my plants. The water pressure is strong, but not too strong. I was able to water my plants for about 10-15 minutes on and off (not continuously) before it pretty much emptied out the entire 5 gallons. So I would say it would maybe take less than 10 minutes to empty out the whole container continuously.Before this, I had a 3gal spray mister that you had to pump by hand and it would take me about 45 mins to empty out the 3 gallons, and I needed to do this at least 3 or 4 times. It got to the point where I ended up using the largest bowls I could find and going back and forth between the kitchen and the balcony 20+ times because that was a faster solution. So this has been a major gamechanger for me and has made my life so much easier. Even if I have to refill 2 or 3 times, the entire process is so much faster, I can finish watering all my plants in less than 45 minutes.I read a lot of reviews that said the hose connection part breaks off easily, so I am being very careful with that. It does seem like a weak point that could break easily with too much force. I love the vibrant green color. I like that it has a little pouch on the side to stash the nozzle and hose. I take out the battery whenever I am not using it, just in case and so I remember to charge it. I wish the battery compartment was a little more sturdy and sealed so I feel safer about not getting any water in there. It is only held by a small magnet which doesn’t fall off or anything, but doesn’t really give that peace of mind that water won’t get in there.

OK so why would I buy something that I didn’t need? Read on!Wifey found a Snow Joe Snow blower at a Habitat-Store and had to have it. I paid $25 for a BRAND NEW SNOW BLOWER!!! Retail was over 6 hundred! It was brand new, never used, and came with 2 Snow Joe batteries, 5AH, same voltage. Snow Joe and Sun Joe are the same company, and the batteries are interchangeable. I knew when I bought her that snow blower that we might get snow once every 2 – 3 years, and the value was in the BATTERIES!!! They too were brand new, so there’s a hundred easy. Now the snow blower had no charger, so I needed a charger, and I also needed a thing, ANY thing, that would let me use the batteries through the year, so they don’t go dead or sit too long. Batteries like to be used!!! Letting batteries sit for 3 years is a BAD IDEA!!! So, I bought THIS Sun Joe “pressure washer”. Now, why do I put that in quotes? Because that’s a stretch honestly, but I’ll get to that later.I opened it, READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS, and plugged in one of my 5AH snow joe batteries. Filled it up and popped the hoses on. You have to PUSH THEM HARD, so if you have extreme “Auther”, you may not want this. I was OK with it having minor “Auther”. No leaks! I then went out to the stoop and sprayed all the monstrous piles off the concrete. Who knew a scrawny little pitbull could leave THAT MUCH debris??? I literally ran it dry of the 5 gallons spraying the little logs off the steppingstones and concrete slab. I then filled it again, (WITH COLD WATER! ONLY USE COLD WATER!) and slapped the battery that came with it into the lil beasty and I sprayed the paint on my Mercedes and tried as best I could to knock as much paint off my van as I could. It took some… Mostly at places where the paint was already chipping. Some of you are cringing at the thought of this, but its a retired FedexSprinter, and its OLD and UGLY, and it needs a new paint job, so sanding will follow, followed by a custom paint job. I mostly wanted to knock any loose pieces off before sanding. It knocked enough chips oFf to fill a golf ball. So, all in all maybe a 4″ by 4″ area. I was never able to drain either battery completely. The battery life is excellent. Even better with my 5.0AH batteries! You will run out of water before you have to charge the batteries. Id guess it would easily drain the 5 gallons 3-5 times on one battery, but that’s a guess.It made like a tough little tank, and it’s very solid, and quite rugged. I love that it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break during use. I would pay special attention, however, on the hose attachment. I can see that being the “whoops” spot.So here’s the negatives. Pressure wise, I’d say MOST PEOPLE who are on county water, could crank up their pressure reducing valve on their home JUST A LITTLE (one or two full turns of the bolt… I’m a plumber.) and with a jet water hose nozzle, they could achieve the same thing. I however, and my neighbors, are all on wells. Wells use a pressure switch, so the absolute highest pressure that my well will produce is 40 PSI. This pressure washer produces almost twice that pressure. So for me, it’s needed. I NEVER have strong pressure, so this little machine changes that. For that reason alone, I think it’s worth the money. PLUS ITS PORTABLE!I also used it on my tires to spray some mud off. This WILL NOT CLEAN AN ATV!!! Just saying. It will rinse it, but don’t think for one second that its gonna blast off clay mud that’s stuck on your ATV or RZR!!!All in all, it’s a great little PORTABLE pressure washer with limitations.I LOVE that the company has a PHONE NUMBER!!! They get one star just for that!! So sick of companies hiding behind email!The warranty is a bit much though. I shouldn’t have to create a ‘strong” password and give out my phone number to get the free extra 2 year + 90 days warranty!! That should be BY DEFAULT WITH RECEIPT OR PROOF OF PURCHASE! Stop the data mining! JUST STOP.But since they did include a phone number, that established a little extra trust in the company, and I agreed to do it for the extra warranty.I do recommend this pressure washer. We use this item to cool our search dogs down before and after a search exercise. It is also perfect to wash down my kayak and mountian bike when away from home before we put them on top of the vehicle. Love how portable it is. Easy to carry and the battery lasts a while.
