Perfect Replacement
Perfect replacement for the old school shop lights with ballasts and bulbs. Not only was it a breeze to install these two lights, but they provided way more light than the two shop lights I just replaced. My two car garage gets pretty dark and the older lights were starting to flicker or not come on at all. These lights have certainly changed that for the better. I have noticed that they don’t come on instantaneously, but the delay is just for a fraction of a second. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great light, 1 flaw
I admit Iâm a Sunco fan. I love their retrofit lights, slim ceiling lights, high bay lights (way overkill but makes me wish I owned a warehouse) and now their 4 ft shop light. I replaced my old garage fluorescent fixtures with two of these and the space is now brighter and more evenly lit. And I no longer feel like Iâm in a horror film. I even ordered two more because they daisy chain easily and I found out you can buy a 10 ft T5 T8 extension cable so I can position a light directly over my workbench.Hereâs the flaw, and itâs been said by other reviewers: the diffusion cover is REALLY hard to put on once the light is hung. One side or the other keeps popping out leading to a lot of frustration. I even considered just taping the cover on with clear tape⦠and thatâs what sparked a fix: I taped ONE side of the cover in three places (both ends and the middle) so it would stay in when I bent the other side to snap in place. Once it did I removed my tape (carefully) and peeled off the protective film. Problem solved!Still, highly recommended.

Super bright LED lights! Read about install issue.
Great product. Be aware there is a slight delay in light coming on (approx. 0.5 seconds) but it doesn’t impact anything about the product.Only issue, these are made to be mounted directly to a octagonal junction box and their only pre-cut wiring holes are in the center of the fixture as there are no “knock-outs” stamped anywhere on the base. In cases where you are replacing an old fixture you will need to drill new holes for wiring to enter and add/reuse the Romex clamp yourself. Also, end mounting holes are on 40″ centers, not 42″ so new holes my be needed there if you are trying to reuse old mounting points like I did. Even with modifications needed, I got these both these 2 fixtures installed in about an hour total (but I had all the needed tools/drills/bits on hand). If you aren’t exactly “handy” it might take a bit longer.Now we have the brightest Laundry Room and closet lights in town!

Great alternative to fluorescent fixtures
Arrived on time and easy to install using the existing ceiling hooks I had for the old fixtures I replaced. These fixtures seem to be throwaways when they burn out but I’m OK with that as they are reasonably priced and I won’t have to endure the awkward tube replacement process of the old lights. I like that they put out a bit more light than the old ones and are very lightweight as well. They also use less electricity than fluorescent tubes and hopefully will last longer: time will tell.

Pretty Chintzy lights.
Theyâre not made to easily replace existing lights.I bought 4 and installed 2. The other 2 Iâll put up on Facebook Marketplace for 1/2 price which still twice what theyâre worth.I recommend people should Look for some lights that are made more to standard.
