Great lights, easy to use and install. Ground wire not needed.
Love these lights so far. I have wanted recessed ceiling lights forever, and these make it not only affordable but not nearly as much work as traditional recessed can lights. I was able to drill a slightly larger hole than the existing globe light used and hook it right up. The one thing I had to research a bit before installing is the ground wire is not required. I coiled it up and left it in the “junction box” that comes with the light.My biggest complaint is that my kids now yell at Alexa all the time to turn the lights on and off and want to change the halo color every 13 seconds. I wish the app had better memory settings from when they were previously on, it seems to be a bit of a crapshoot about how it will turn on. Also, it’s a little wonky to use the wall switch versus the app versus Alexa. I would also add a “sync” feature to all the lights, so I could set the color and they would all align, but not necessarily turn on. Because it’s a sliding scale and you can’t set the tone by a number, they might end up slightly off from each other. Right now the lights I’ve installed are far enough apart if they’re not aligned it’s not noticeable. When I do the living room lights and group them, I may figure out how to align them.

Fun and easy!
Easy to install. Fun lights. The only problem is the connection with the app can be spotty. I have 4 lights that I have created a group for and probably 1 out of 5 times when I change the color, 1 or 2 of them won’t change and I will have to manually do them. Not a huge deal but that’s why it’s not 5 stars. Other thing is that they claim they don’t need to be grounded since it is a plastic junction box but it also says in their instructions that it should be grounded.

These lights are so cool! My contractor said they were easy to install. It took just moments to connect them to the Sunco app on my phone. It definitely took some trial and error before I figured out how to control them with Alexa. I love the different color options!

Unique color ring is awesome
These lights are the coolest ever. The color ring is why I chose them. Unfortunately after a few months, 2 out of 3 stopped responding to the app. The app claims they aren’t able to connect. Those 2 had held color settings and were operated by a wall switch until recently. Now they are bright white only when switched on. The one that works has been switched on continuously and operated with app because the switch is hard to reach. They “breathe” when trying to reconnect yet the app still fails. Don’t know if it is the app or the control box.

Check existing light fixture size!
Have to have the right size bulb recepticals. These fit in 6inch hole, but the existing bulb setup may me (was for me) the wrong size so I have to change those also. Otherwise, easy to set up and work well.

My favorite Smart objects in the whole house.
I canât say enough positive things about gs about these Sunco smart LEDâs. They have made them so easy to install and set up. I got a couple of them just to try them out. I loved them so much I ended up getting 30 more to use in the rest of the house.They can be installed in new construction, remodels, and can even be used to easily retrofit existing cans. All the hardware and pigtails are included. If retrofitting existing cans, like I did, you simply use the included pigtail that screws right into the existing socket. It doesnât get any easier than that.We built our home in 1994, and used traditional incandescent can lights of the period. One thing I always hated about the existing cans is the fact that the can opening creates a breach in the drywall. This results in a loss of some thermal efficiency, and it also allows fine dust to wisp through the holes and cracks in the can, leaving the bulbs and can trim dusty.However, with these Sunco lights, you can actually seal the fixture. So, no thermal loss, no dust, and no sound leaks between floors.The lights are dimmable and can be changed into 16 million colors, and can even sync to music. I used them in my home theater and can now set the mood for the movie.They work great with the Alexa app giving you countless options for controlling the lights. All the lights can be controlled together or individually. Even lights on the same switch can be controlled individually.I have six lights all on one switch that are positioned around the perimeter of a room. Some are illuminating paintings hung on the wall, others are positioned over desks and reading chairs, and others still provide general lighting. I have each light set to the specific brightness and color tone most suitable for its location. When I say âAlexa, please turn on the den lights, they all come on at once, with the room lit exactly how I want it. I can easily make any changes or adjustments using either my phone, or using voice control. Ainât technology great?!Iâve tried one or two other smart lights from other brands, buy after I saw how great these Sunco Smart LEDâs worked, I resolved to only buy Sunco brand lights.

Loving these pot lights. I bought them to replace some old 6″ recess lights and they work and look great. I connected it to my alexa and can also control them from my phone. Can change to several different colours and can also work along with music and voice. Highly recommended
