Seamless Upgrade for Heated Floors
recently replaced my old SunTouch control panel with the SunTouch Command Touchscreen Programmable Thermostat, and I was amazed at how quickly my heated floors were up and running again.Installing the new thermostat was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and within minutes, I had the new unit installed and ready to go. The compatibility between my old system and the new thermostat was impressive.The performance of the SunTouch Command Thermostat was outstanding. Once I turned it on, the heated floors responded immediately. The temperature control was precise, maintaining a consistent level of warmth throughout the day. The programmable settings allowed me to customize the heating schedule to my liking.The touchscreen interface was intuitive and easy to navigate. Even as someone who isn’t very tech-savvy, I had no trouble adjusting settings or programming the thermostat. great products but need better instructions.
I used it to replace flextherm LS120P. The only difficulty to install was separating the screen from the base in order to connect sensor cables. The instruction was not very clear and I had to probe a bit with fear of breaking it before being able to finally get the two parts separated. Also it is pretty hard to do the same thing once installed. Other than this, the unit is very well designed. Software part are smooth and easy to follow. It worked like a charm once connected all six wires. Will likely buy two more for the other two rooms that also have heater floors.It is hard to find a video only for its installation. A link would be very helpful.

Keeps My Tootsies Steadily Warm!
My install incorporated an existing 8000 ohm imbedded floor sensor, as the in-tile heated wire system had failed. I used this thing to control “under floor joist heat mats”, which are slow, but heat rises and my 8k to 12K sensor told the unit to cycle on and off perfectly. Most bathroom installations don’t need a complicated digital timer to maintain a slow-responding chunk of tile, so the easy-set, easy read, no nonsense “up and down” temperature arrows are intuitive, the readout shows “actual floor temperature” and then “desired set-point”. My tootsies love my constant warm floor in MI. AND the sweet part is it does NOT lose it’s mind and temp settings if the power glitches like other brands!

Easy to install and easy to program, with a caveat
I was replacing a prior thermostat from the same company. It had been in for over 6 years and was starting to show it’s ages, but after a power surge it would no longer tun on the heat, even when it said it had. I replaced it with this model and found it easy to install and program. The prior version showed both indoor and floor temperature, this one only shows the floor temp, so I miss that a bit. BTW – This is for in-floor heating in my bathroom.The reason I give it four stars rather than five is the limitation on the programming. It has three programable setting, one for weekdays, one for Saturday and one for Sunday. This is fine if you work a standard weekly work shift, but if you have weekdays off and some weekend days on, you can’t change the programming for the weekday you are off. This likely isn’t an issue for most people, but it’s something to know if you have that type of schedule. (the old version had independent setting for every day).The programming itself is pretty easy if you’ve done something like this before. It gives you four switches per day type. I use two on and two at a temp that won’t turn the heat on. They call them on or off or some other naming I forget, but it’s the same thing. The first one is ON the next OFF, etc. Since I wanted to have the heat turn OFF at 12:30am, I had to use the first ON setting as an off, which works perfectly well, it’s just a little confusing. So on weekdays I set it as follows.. The ON OFF are based on what the system calls it, but not how I use it:1: OFF (70F) – 12:30am2: ON (81F) – 8:00am3: OFF (70F) – 9:00am4:p ON (81F) 11:30pmWhich works fine for me.The display is nice and is easy to read. It all works fine and as I said before, the install was easy as I was replacing an existing setup. I can’t comment on how easy a new installation would be.It doesn’t have WiFI, which I didn’t want anyway. I think the value for money is good. I’m happy to have it installed and my floor heating up again.

Our older model suddenly stopped working eventhough power was getting through. This is a great replacement and is working great. We were glad the photos showed exactly what it looked like from the back for the hook up as that was how we were sure it was the right one to order.

This unit replaced an older Suntouch floor controller that stopped working. Reused the existing temperature sensor that was already installed in the flooring. Just had to reconnect the wires, program the settings and it works perfectly. The display is a lot nicer than the old unit.

I bought this item to replace a dead NuHeat thermostat, which never worked properly. Easy to install if you’re replacing an older thermostat, just make sure you watch what you’re doing: remove one wire from dead thermostat and install in new thermostat, one at a time.I really like the simplicity of this unit, since it is installed in a second home that sees alot of friends using the place, Thus i did not want a complicated, programmable thermostat.
