Do Not Purchase, Worst Door Bell and Swann Sends Refurbished Ones Instead of a New One
09/23.2024: Do Not Purchase this Worthless Doorbell. After 3 months, the Swann Doorbell would not hold a charge and stop working. I contacted Swann for a refund. Swann kept sending me these refurbished doorbells and they would not hold a charge either. After a year of trying to get my money refunded, they purposely kept sending me these refurbished doorbells that did not hold a charge for 6 hours to keep from sending me a refund. I now have 4 Swann refurbished doorbells that do not hold a charge either. You have to keep them plugged up and I have no electrical outlet at the door to plug it in for 24 hours a day. Customer Service are all foreigners with bad English also. You can barely understand their English. Swann makes it hard to return items when they do not work.**********************************************************I have a Swann camera Ethernet home surveillance system and I preferred the Swann doorbell as to add to the Swann app and not download so many apps on my phone. The door bell works great and sync to the Swann app with no problem. The thing I dislike about it is you have to use the USB or USB-C cord that came with the device to constantly charge it. The charge does not last long before the device has to be removed from the door and place on its charging port. No one hardly every use the doorbell and I do not enter in and out of that door to keep it taking pics, however, every month I do have to remove the doorbell to charge it for an hour or two. Therefore, I cannot secure the doorbell on its frame because I will have keep unscrewing the screw each month and eventually you can strip the screw so I choose to only set it on the frame to hold it on. I love that the Swann app keeps video for back play and live view. I do wish that the ringer inside of the house had a louder ringer. Since the doorbell is installed in the garage on the entry door, the doorbell is in the kitchen and if I am in the bedroom I can not hear the doorbell ringing. The volume really needs to be much larger. Despite all this I still love the brand Swann. The doorbell needs some improvements.

This is my go to brand for security cameras.
My neighbor has this brand of outdoor camera, they were able to capture the best nighttime video of a car burglar and forward to police. The detail of the video vs the other neighbors Ring camera video footage was enough for me to only shop this brand for our outdoor cameras. I love that we finally have a video doorbell camera! It wired in just fine and the app was easy to setup. The picture quality and sound have been great. The only negative thing I have to say is about the delay of the notification. Mostly, by the time I get a notification; whatever has caused the motion alert is already gone away and the only way to see who or what was there is to playback the recording. I believe this is a common complaint, I have heard the same complaints from others with Ring brand as well. Overall, I am happy with this product and would recommend purchasing based on the live picture quality and recorded quality.

Internal Battery failed
Battery failed after three months and would not recharge and I had to seek replacement.

Disappointed
I should’ve opened the box soon as I got. There was no chime speaker in the box. I didn’t realized until after I installed the doorbell. Went to their website and it’s been sold out for months. It doorbell doesn’t stay connected to the wifi. It always shows disconnected with buffering signal. Every thing in my house that uses wifi, I have no problem with but this doorbell. I feel like I completely wasted my money.
