Great light!
I am very happy with this led stripe! Great quality, very good attention to details from the manufacturer. Easy to connect to Matter and it appeared in my Apple home. So now I have tons of options to control the lights. The strip is very bright and has many scenes that you can select from the app. The only one small downside – when you turn off the strip using Siri or Control Center on your Iphone , it doesn’t switch off completely, istead it remains On with litgs set to 0%. However, if you turn it off from the Switchboat app, it turns off completely and properly. That is a minor negative side, hope this will be fixed with firmware update. I already ordered the second strip!

Lights look good but I won’t use the app again.
I think these lights look good and offer a wide variety of colors through the app. However, my installation experience was frustrating due to a few issues. The lights would not pair with my phone until I tried a reset on the lights. Furthermore, the app required me to share my location just to change basic settings, which felt like an unnecessary invasion of privacy. I was particularly disappointed that I couldn’t get the music sync feature to work at all, despite following the instructions. I tried increasing the sensitivity in the app but it still didn’t work. I am not sure if that is an issue with the design or my set was just defective. I originally planned to use these for dynamic lighting in my living room, but given these issues, I plan to use them as under cabinet lighting in my kitchen instead.

Looking for Matter lights that are simple to add to your home?Wow, the SwitchBot 16.4ft RGB LED Strip Lights are simple to set up since they are Matter compatible. I added the lights to Alexa, and I was off and running. Most importantly, Matter compatibility allows the lights to work with Alexa, Apple, Google, and even Samsung, so there are lots of options for home automation. The lights produce bright light and are dimmable with simple commands like âSwitchbot lights 50%â.I have other light strips, but none of them are Matter compatible. The flexibility of Matter provides lots of options for my future home automation requirements.Recommended

Light strip compatible with Alexa!
Good compatibly with Alexa, this strip blends well into routines. This will be installed on top of my upper cabinets, providing a white light while cooking, then a color accent while dining. I don’t recommend installing this strip in view, it’s not a clean strip of light, it’s a series of bright dot dot dot. Perfect for indirect lighting over/under ledges or cabinets, adjustable brightness from the included remote or Alexa. Must connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, not 5G.

Light It Up
Used these as over cabinet lighting at the beach house and it works well. Are they the highest quality LEDs? No. Do they work well enough for what I needed? Yes. The color rendering isnât the greatest but they arenât horrible. Only used them for about two weeks so far so I canât speak to their longevity. I will update if something odd happens to them anytime soon. For now I would recommend

Nicely boxed for shipping. Smart lights that work with multiple services (Alexa, Google, Apple). Plenty of length for power cable. Remote is nice, but not need if you connect to a smart home. Nice, dimmable lights with sharp, crisp colors and a “white” white. I would recommend.

When I first unboxed the SwitchBot RGB LED Strip Lights, I was ready for a full-on part experience. The only hiccup was finding royalty-free music that could actually show off how well these LEDs dance to a beat. Spoiler: my search for the perfect track turned into a mini quest, but the payoff was worth it once the lights started pulsing along.The LEDs themselves are tiny beacons of brilliance. Each one is bright, colorful, consistent, and clearly made with some quality in mind. Out of the box, the remote gives you the basic control options, which is fine if you are going for a âset it and forget itâ vibe. But if you want to tweak colors, adjust brightness with finesse, or really fine-tune how the lights react to music, the SwitchBot app is the secret sauce. It is essentially the control tower for your light show.Now, the connection process had a small plot twist. The control module paired easily at first, but after it tried to reconnect later, it refused to cooperate. This stubbornness forced me to delete the device from the app and start over. Round two went smoothly, and after that, there were no more connection issues. I suspect it just needed a firmware update, but either way, just be prepared.Installation is where things redeemed themselves. The stripâs double-sided tape made it super straightforward to mount, and I appreciated not having to wrestle with any complicated brackets or clips. A delightful surprise was the generous length of the power cord, which spared me from awkward cable-stretching. For the price, I would say it is a great value for the money!
