stellar wifi adapter, easy and cost efficient
undoubtedly one of the best purchases i have ever made. i built my own computer and have a msi pro b650-s motherboard with a faulty wifi chip. for the life of me i could not go even an hour without the wifi buffering and being forced to disconnect/reconnect from the internet. this usb was a simple (and cheap!) solution to the problem that has tormented me for AGES. it’s been about five months since purchase, and it’s worked absolutely amazingly with no trouble. i 100% recommend for anyone who might be dealing with the same issue, or just need a simple wifi adapter!

Works well in Linux
I got this since it had same-day shipping and my motherboard’s built-in wifi and bluetooth randomly gave out (strange!!). On a new Ubuntu boot disk it worked out of the box, but for some reason on my current install I had to install the RTL8811AU driver from github (sorry I have learned we aren’t supposed to leave links in Amazon reviews, but you can find it easily … the repo name has “8821au” in it). The installation was dead simple though, and I’m getting 212 Mbps internet download speeds, which is fantastic, as fast as I’ve ever seen this internet. Despite the tiny form factor, it is able to connect to our mesh network from a room away.I did later search for Linux USB wifi devices, and if I weren’t impatient to get my desktop working again, then I would probably go for the Panda Wireless PAU0F AXE3000 Tri Band … it’s cool they have official linux support and overall IMO having antennas is better than being super tiny.

I’m so glad I grabbed this one
This TP-Link dongle is fantastic, it instantly gave my computer both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, when previously it had neither, and it works flawlessly. The fit is perfect, the build quality feels solid and durable, and the connection speed is excellent, has a decent little range! A high-quality, reliable upgrade thatâs well worth it. The drivers came pre loaded, you just have to install them. Very happy to be able to use my old Dell optiplex once again! Sounds great!

Small and Reliable overall
Small and reliable. Plugged into a Windows 11 PC and worked right away. Speeds are solid, around 200 Mbps on a 300 Mbps connection. Holds a stable signal even two rooms away. Gets warm during long sessions, but no disconnects. Not ideal for gaming latency, but great for everyday use. Install TP-Linkâs driver for best results.
